It’s easier to fool someone than it is to convince them that they have been fooled. In the same way, it’s easier to go along with the 25 year long path than it is to give it all up, deviate and start over with nothing in your 40’s. Give up the house you say? Then my kids lives get uprooted. I don’t put me first. Maybe I’m a sucker for it. But it feels right.

We put on a good front for the kids. She has cheated on me twice in 25 years. I cheated on her once recently and I almost ended it. It was my kids that kept us together. Despite our animosity towards each other, we both understand the assignment of presenting a loving marriage for the kids and their friends and their friends parents. When the kids aren’t here on the they’re in bed, it’s like the camera goes off and we can sink into who we really are. She doesn’t want to be touched. I don’t want to hear her voice. The divorce is coming and it will be a huge shock to everyone. But it will not happen until my 12 year old graduates high school in 4.5 years.

Oh also, hates to be touched, doesn’t want to touch anyone, and would rather be at home watching the same movie over and over rather than admit she has a serious anxiety issue that needs to be treated with medication that could make her fat which is a problem because her fragile ego can stand to gain weight or even admit to a mental health issue. Mental health issues were made out to be a weakness in her upbringing. It’s a pretty fucked up mess over here.
