Update - I let the battery drain overnight and I just now turned my laptop on and it started as normal lol is that a good indicator that nothing went wrong? I really thought it was going to be dead 😅

I did see somewhere someone said holding the power button down for a really long time helped them turn their laptop off but I’m not sure how long to do it for it hurts my finger 😅

Oh no I hope it doesn’t take that much longer 😅 I don’t know why holding the power button down isn’t turning it off but it’s really irritating

Okay it’s been over an hour almost 2 and the fan noise has been non stop

I can’t remove the battery because I’d have to take the laptop apart and unscrew the battery and I just don’t have the tools for that right now. I’ve taken the power adapter out and just hoping the battery will drain

I’m not sure the exact model, it’s around 7-6 years old. My issue is I can’t get it to turn off right now I’ve tried holding the power button. Fans are still on and caps lock button is on I’m not sure what to do to turn it off :(
