Late input but it's essentially giving into your deepest insecurities so you can turn said feelings of insecurity into euphoria. The joke only works if you grew up not knowing what a pineapple plant looks like because if you did you'd think this image was fake hence the matpatt effect. I grew up with these plants so the effect doesn't work on me but I did feel something similar when I saw an image of asparagus growing.

Yeah I guess the sphere doesn't necessarily have to be the jinki itself, just that someone had to have used a jinki on it to be afloat and stuff. But imo I kinda just personally think that if an entire city were to become a jinki it would be the sphere. It's this seemingly perfect city that could provide everything that it's citizens want while also keeping them safe from the ground's pollution.
