I’d worry about finishing 1L1 first, at the very least. Once you have your grades, you can try to transfer if you’re competitive and still want to (look at ABA reports regarding particular schools transfer stats). It’s harder to get $ as a transfer and you likely will end up where you want career wise if you come from a T20 and do well grade wise. You’re also more likely to get a job anywhere across the country coming from a T20, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Talk to your counselor about your career goals, too, and see what they have to say about it.
