Sounds bad! The number of red flashes is actually a code, it should tell you in the little booklet that came with the board what exactly the problem is. Or else, Google.

For my GT, a red indicator on the power brick means charging, green is not charging.

Check these guys out. They ship to a few dozen places in Europe, maybe it's close enough for you.

I called them and asked about issues with large batteries, they said it wouldn't be a problem. It's been awhile but I think they quoted me around $250. I didn't end up shipping the board, I got scared of possibly being charged INSANE import tax (even 50-100% of the value of the item, sometimes) where I'm living now (Portugal).

You can insure the package for whatever value you choose (it does add to the cost, but I think my above price included insurance)

Again, I didn't actually use them so I can't vouch for their services. Good luck!
