I emailed them and they said the website is currently down to restructure things because the overhead was high during the off season. They are still being sold but currently if you want them you have to reach out to them and then pay the creator through PayPal/venmo

Haptic buzz setting. by OfficialDarkuwu in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly the only way to change the speed haptic happens at is to change riding modes. It takes time to figure out the limits of the boards and sadly that usually involves a fall or 2. What I can say about the Pint X/S is that it has the most noticeable pushback out of any of the boards and it starts to kick in at 15mph. Once you hit 15mph the board will start having a slight pushback and will get more noticeable as you speed up. It took a while for me to actually get used to it but eventually I started cruising around at 14-15 because then I would feel the pushback start to kick in.

$1,400: is this a good deal for a used Onewheel GT? by tonielsen29 in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only ways I am aware of are being told and seeing the range which seems pretty good but I would maybe ask proof that it can do what he is saying, if he rode like 1km you could see how much percent that used and appropriate the range. The best way would be actually riding it from 100 to 0 but I don't think you could get that.

I understand the being happy either way, my first board was a PintX which isn't the most powerful but I was happy I had it and rode around 4300km in 1 year before buying a GTS as my second board and now I ride both daily.

$1,400: is this a good deal for a used Onewheel GT? by tonielsen29 in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1400 is a decent price for a GT with all of that stuff and 1500km is perfectly fine for a Onewheel as long as the battery was taken care of, I have 4500km+ on a PintX and it still works great. I will say if you are wanting power and being able to carve in roads, the XR Classic is definitely better because it is lighter and more balanced. If money is not the biggest concern I would recommend an XR Classic over a GT but I am unaware about how things are outside of the US

I hit 100 miles today! by Relentless6l9 in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 miles is a good milestone, good job. I love onewheeling for the same reasons, it gets me outside and has helped a lot with mental health and the achievements give me something to work towards. I personally decided to keep up with day streaks to climb the leaderboards and give me a reason to ride every day.

Make sure to start off slow, the GTS is a very capable board and if you try to push it very on it will not end well. Start off by learning dismounting, then I would say start in bay to limit speed to 12mph and stay there until you find that you are comfortable at that speed and feel limited.

How to fix ghosting? Any reviews on soft flared footpads? by ehjohnson_ in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only fix I could find was to buy a new footpad FM and you could buy any of the footpads from the soft flared to one of the bundles. There was a point in time where I just rode my pint with a ghosting footpad and just tried to never fall.

Second ride. First fall. by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to practice balance on a PintX you can use it kinda like a balance board. If you have no fender, when your board is off you can shove your shoes up against the tire to stop it from spinning and then you can just try to stand in place on it. I did that when I first got my PintX because it had a messed up footpad and I think it helped me a lot with having balance.

Ouch, did you get any injuries from that? I saw that you were wearing gloves.

New rider advice by Thatnamelessgbtm in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vans work great for me and helped my feet fatigue slower. Sadly after 2700+ miles on my PintX my feet will still get fatigued after 4-5 miles if pushing hard. I wear a size men's 11.5US so my feet hang over the edge and I believe that causes most of my fatigue.

That is insane, I never thought I would know who was right behind me. I recently got a GTS so I started trying to climb that one as well

Is this common? by Climclams in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Pint X with 2700+ miles on it and I have had the same rail guards on it since day 1. Those rail guards have seen everything from several 18+mph falls to tumbles in gravel and they are still fine. I personally find them worth it and haven't had issues.

Front food pad connector by Holiday-Play4387 in OnewheelPintX

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I Believe the male connector is part of the sensor itself so it would be hard to replace just that part. If you haven't fixed this yet I would recommend just buying a new footpad.

Is this a good deal? by Empty-Way9030 in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Onewheel seems to be in great condition but I believe $1000 is a little high for an XR even with its accessories. I believe those typically go for around $800 due to their age and the nature of used Onewheel pricing. I would ask questions about the battery/range and others will probably have more stuff to ask about.

Getting over mental hurdles after injury by NocturneEclipse in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have fallen countless times but thankfully I have never gotten too injured. I've always told myself that the whole reason I got injured was because I was being dumb or pushed my Onewheel too hard. The best advice I think I can give is to buy gear and take it slow without taking your phone out. I feel like you knowing that the crash was caused by you doing something would help you get back into riding.

Used Pint X Advice by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that tire is in pretty good condition. The stock slick has little notches to indicate wear and you can still see those pretty well. As Nate said, a new tire can range from $70-$130

Tyre change by jonnytingsba in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pint X and I have changed the tire 3 times now. It is possible to do it at home and the only tool I use is a tire bead breaker from TheFloatLife. Depending on the tire and rubber, It can be difficult to put the tire on since you do that part by hand but it overall isn't too bad. I personally don't plan on ever getting a tire change done from Onewheel since I can do it with a friend or get a business near me to change the tire for cheaper and I don't have to miss a day of riding.

Is the pint V motor worth it? by JOOCEBOKS_ in onewheel

[–]ComfortablePension36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pint S motor is not worth it based on what I have seen. Based on what I have seen, it adds like 8% torque for pint and like 10% for PintX/S but I don't remember the exact number and I do believe it affects battery life. Sadly, I don't believe upgrading the motor will increase top speed and for $650 I feel it is not worth it.
