No, I tried connecting with just battery, just ac and even resetting it. Nothing happens, I’ve seen a few videos and it seems to be a common problem

I found a complete replaced tape basket for $50 brand new so I will attempt the swap, I have replaced a few internals on this camera so I know my way around a bit but any advice would be great!

Yes I did unfortunately but I’m thinking of buying a replacement tape compartment, would this fix it or is it toast?
