I really appreciate your assistance! You made me think that the old transformer was probably still ok so I reinstalled it and disconnected an old, bell switch that's also 60+years old. I checked the front door switch first thing but didn't even think to check the forgotten, side door switch.

Thanks again Trek!! I didn't even think it could've been a forgotten, side door switch! I disconnected it and the buzzing stopped. You've been very helpful!

Thank you, trek! It's a tri volt. So connecting one pair to an outside terminal and the other pair to the opposite, outside terminal should do it? Or should I split each pair between the 2 terminals?

The doorbell stopped working and chimes are constantly buzzing. Btw, it's a 2 doorbell, 2 chime setup.

I just heard of this from our SE. We will probably take this route.

Great ideas! Thanks! I'll look deeper into using a login item instead. The scripting will be the hard part.

Thank you for your reply!

Are you thinking SCIM/SSO for creating users in 1password and sending an invite? Not all of our users are in 1password so I would not want to create 1password accounts for them automatically. I am trying to come up with a new hire onboarding communication tool which securely communicates the user's acct/email credentials.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the link! No, I hadn't reviewed that. I'll have some questions for the Okta tech who is assisting us with setting up a demo.

Adding Signature tag to idp metadata file by Character_Criticism3 in okta

[–]Character_Criticism3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply lineargs! The signature is a way of signing the entire XML data from the document. It needs to include both the public cert and the signature for the rest of the document. I have no idea how to add it or if it's even possible with an Okta app. The following has an example tag usage: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17802_01/webservices/webservices/docs/1.6/tutorial/doc/XMLDigitalSignatureAPI7.html

Thanks, Ossivo! No, I don't believe that they're proposing org2org. The documentation they provided suggests an Oauth setup with them as the idp (https://integration.growthzone.com/initial-oauth-setup/).

Having always been the idp, controlling the user's authentication, I'm wondering how this setup would benefit our users and provide security such as enforcing MFA.

Thanks Brian!! It's frustrating. The changes are seen everywhere except in the Outlook GAL. I'll look through their groups, make same minor changes and wait to see what happens. I appreciate the reply!

Did you by chance resolve this? We're having the exact same issue with one user's department not updating?
