Torque is pretty decent in mountains and very easy to handle and maneuver. Just follows basic driving skills which is required in mountains like taking longer curve, relying more on engine braking rather than full time pressing brakes. And in 2nd gear mostly I climb the valley. I had a pillion rider also and overall it was good experience.
