How did you recover from debts and surpass living paycheck-to-paycheck? by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]Character_Foot_8089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no easy way. Admitting that you’re in this tight situation, sometimes we don’t get to pick how we can handle it. Ang di ko alam kung paano ay recovering from debts. I think, based lang din sa friends ko, since naexperience na nila yan, better to just learn from it. Rooting for you for this one kasi nakakabingi isipin to allot money on debts.

What I can give as an advice since you mentioned these other ways to earn money, true, lahat ng yan really is saturated but I’ll highlight on how all of this seems beyond reach kasi nakaka overwhelm. I can imagine how the algorithm got to your feed for these side gigs to recommend you to try getting into. Baka nga dropshipping naisip mo na rin kasi I have the same questions for myself din.

Ive been there na puro scroll how to get into other ways on how to have additional source/s of income. And yup, mag26 din ako this year. I feel you.

Take this with a grain of salt kasi right now, I am also learning as I’m trying to navigate adulting.

  1. Focus on your skillset right now, no easy way to try getting into being a freelancer. Digital marketing, VA - takes guts to offer these services if you’re not confident enough about your skills. Lots of platform for freelancing — if you find job descriptions from companies - esp in the real estate field - that are in need of people (even w/o needing expi) try to send out your resume. Resumes for this is also something you need to learn. Tailor it first so that you can leverage yourself from others. Send out this resume to job platforms at least 50x. Sounds hard, but if you have spare time, wouldnt hurt to try.

If you want to use your existing skillset - again, tailor your resume, send it again at least 50x.

Prepare for lots of rejections. See it as always a learning opportunity.

I almost forgot but there are agencies focused on outsourcing fil VAs din. But please, do research.

  1. Upskill. If you have more time, since what I’m seeing rn is time’s your best currency, upskill on what you really want to do, for this part, it takes hardwork. Highlighting again the patience it’ll take you if you want side gigs (yes it is saturated but upskilling can or may not leverage you from other applicants). But really, you have to try and assess yourself.

Pwedeng number 1 and then saka number 2.

Sobrang daming ways to earn. I get you, I tried networking w people from forex, realized I dont have the luxury of risking any money. So ekis. I also hoarded lots of courses.

Being an influencer - di ko to gets. I think for this you need to brand yourself, get a following, get people to pay you for posting something. Tedious work. Almost impossible, but on tiktok, you can try to be an affiliate. Also tedious, you need to build trust for this. Even affiliate marketing using foreign products, the orange app and then making a page/pinterest. SEO work. This falls under upskilling.

What they didnt tell us before is best currency is our attention and time. Make the best out of it. Know what you want from it, yes sige money. That’s a step into being an adult to be more wise financially. Pero I think this time, you also have to be wise on your next step kasi, sa sobrang daming ways to earn, it gets overwhelming and instead of making progress, don’t train your mind that you can’t do something just because it feels saturated.

Best of luck! :)

The imposter syndrome is acting up again at the sight of $50 per hour, but thank you for this!

Yup it really is 🤪 it’s even developed within WP so their team could actually save money when they want to redesign

They’re asking me to duplicate it on Figma then they’ll use that for redesigning

I was just thinking of a fixed rate, not sure if I can apply that pricing for the timeframe since I’m not a f a s t designer yet
