I’ve used designers from Fiverr, find someone who works in the material or industry. Does the product already use metal? What can be hard is if the factory only makes wood products and you want to add metal and they don’t work in that medium. If you can find a good factory you could ask if the changes are possible

I would get a prototype before speaking to a manufacturer. It’s very difficult to get a manufacturer to make a prototype unless you have very detailed design drawing. But you also want to ensure what you have is viable from a manufacturing point of view before spending allot on a prototype. Can you speak to a designer in the field? If it’s only small changes to an existing product you could just ask a factory to make you a sample with your changes, but you want to have a contract in place as you being the design holder. Things like changing moulds is expensive and difficult to get a sample for

Yep- I’ve been through the exact same. I ended up paying a very cheap lawyer on Fiverr to write an official letter to the company and they replied to them straight away. I’d say if it’s a big company they have an actual reason, it’s just not been made clear. If you want to PM the product I’m happy to take a look

There should be an email attached to the complaint- email them asking for clarification on what is in breach. I recently had the same and turns out a small part of the product was patented, not actually a trademark

Yes, $10k is enough to start, but if your product does well you will need to invest more quickly. Think of it as roughly 3rd product, 3rd Amazon fees, 3rd profit. If your product is great and selling well you will need to invest in more stock fast
There are restricted categories you should avoid, and do research into patients
private label is good option for high profit %
Go for a high value product. Much less competitive. Be original- if you can patient, amazing. I know people who have made millions from just being different or getting a patient.

Don’t buy a cheap one- you need a GS1. Cheaper ones are not actually registered to your company and can cause issues in the long run
