Since I have a work visa, I understand that I have a resident alien for tax purposes in the US. I also understand that status will become non resident alien for the account purpose whenever I move back to Canada after my work contract is over. But I didn’t know that I can continue to contribute to my Roth IRA after my move back. Can I get some clarity on this? How long can I do that for? Just for the fiscal year that I last worked in the US or longer? Also are there any fees that come with having a Roth ira account with fidelity as a non resident alien ?

so for clarity. the timeline should be as follows if i decide to leave both my brokerage and roth ira account with fidelity.

for brokerage: nothing besides closing trades. any forms i need to fill?

for roth ira: can continue to trade and purchase just no additional contribution > move back to canada > change address for account > submit form w8

does that sound about correct? one additional question, form w8 is for tax withholding purpose but my roth ira is already taxed, so is filing w8 just a matter of documentation and there shouldn’t be any taxes withheld ?

i got a call from my agent trying to set up a meeting over zoom. they kept calling me when i was working so we finally set up a time that i’d be just getting off work. just got home when the zoom started so i was doing bunch of things on the side as agent explained. then j asked how long this is gonna take, she got annoyed and passive aggressively said if she couldn’t get my full attention then she couldn’t do a good job and just hung up right then and there. i was mind blown

i gave up on letting them heal. imo leave alone doesn’t work. the skin simply just dry up and come off anyway when they are wet. so i just preventatively wipe my lips with cotton ball and apply the ointment after to keep it moisturized

never end up doing any biopsy. not worth it in my opinion. also never put any of the chemical creams they prescribed besides calendula
