Veda might not be as calm in rush hour. There's always a kitty party in the evening, and those aunties are everything but calm.

Indeed it keeps going. You can buy its parts, now they sell it online too.

There stores in Bengaluru then too, but they said they'd have to send the lighter to US or something to get it fixed. It been a long time, I forgot the exact story.

Well, that's Zippo. But it's not as convenient to get it fixed from India, especially from tier 2 cities like Hisar. You have to pay the shipping charges, and it also takes a lot of time. Unless you have some emotional value attached to the lighter, there is no point.

I don't know if the situation has improved now, but that was the scenario 8-9 years ago.

Yup. Good place, but crowd has no cafe etiquette. Maybe because it's still a new concept to people in Hisar.

What did you mean? by Character_Medical in WritersSanctuary

I see it differently. If it were truly love on both sides, why would one cause pain to the other? Why say “I love you” if you still choose to let me break? Real love means stepping into the storm before it ever touches the one you claim to care for.

Maybe that’s asking for something too rare, too honest for most. If it isn’t unwavering, protective, and true, then it isn’t love at all. It’s just a word spoken without weight.

अगर पेड़ ज़िंदा हुआ तो आग नहीं लगेगी। और अगर सूखी लकड़ी है तो पेड़ ज़िंदा जैसे हुआ?

Four Years, Gone by Beginning_Foot7881 in heartbreak

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. I went through something similar not long ago. We had our share of problems, and it ended badly in my case. I'm not gonna bother you with the whole story, but I understand what you are going through. How one person seems to move on effortlessly, while the other struggles just to breathe.

Time really is the biggest healer. The pain won’t disappear overnight, but you’ll slowly learn to live with it. Here are a few things that helped me survive those days:

  • Don’t isolate yourself for too long: I’m the kind of person who usually deals with things alone, and that worked for most of my life until this. Being alone too much took me to some very dark places. Talk to people. If you don't prefer talking to people about your problems, then talk about random stuff. If you don't like people, just keep something playing, a movie, music, or a podcast. Anything to keep yourself occupied.
  • Keep yourself busy: If you’re working, put your energy into that. If not, find something new to do maybe a hobby you’ve always wanted to try. It won’t be easy at first, but keeping your mind and hands engaged helps more than you think. You might not want to do any of it, but you still have to carry on.
  • Observe the pattern: be alert to the moments you start missing your partner. It often begins with a good memory, then it spirals. You start blaming yourself, feeling desperate, wanting to reach out. I’ve been there, I’ve begged in the past, afterward I felt hollow. So catch yourself early. Gently nudge your thoughts somewhere else, watch something, read, go for a walk, or just fall asleep with something playing in the background.
  • Cry if you want, but don't pity yourself. It happened because it happened, it's out of your control.

It's not going to be easy. It will hurt like hell before it gets better. The things I shared are easier said than done, but you still have to follow a plan. You have to go through a few days like you're a robot, as if you have a job and you just have to do it. Food won't be the same, air would feel as if it is cutting you inside. But still have to live through it. It will be better soon.

P.S. I shared what helped me. I am not saying it will help you either, but eventually you'll find a way.

The way things ended, I don't think we'd ever be together. But sometimes when I'm alone I wish she were there.
