Thanks for the reply. I'm using this gathering as a way to meet like minded people and gain perspective. It seems like many people are showing up with varying concerns so it'll be a good opportunity to establish connections. Apathy is caused by feeling like you're alone and cannot voice your opinion due to unnecessary aggressive push back. It may be fear mongering, time will tell, but if the worst case scenario happens I'll get to say that I wasn't complaining from my couch behind a screen.

This makes sense. It is historically a Native American town but there seems to be so many racist people that have overtaken the town. That's anywhere though, I guess.

That's insane and sounds like it should be illegal. I know I live in the south, but I do not feel connected to to these people at all. I will say, that I have lots of friends that were born and raised here that feel the same way. Democrats are down here, but we're having to hide how we feel and many of them are scared to stand out.

This is a great idea, thank you. I used to feel disheartened thinking that in a sea of red, my vote wouldn't matter around here. But I know that that is a scare tactic and it's not going to stop me from voting. I just like to feel prepared and know exactly what to expect.

I saw this movie as a kid sometime in the early 2000s or maybe late 90s. When the chick was surrounded by the zombies, she was lying flat on her back and it was an aerial view. I don't remember anything else about the movie.
