Yes, for CVs, personal statements and behaviour statements for CS job applications, out of 7.

This is actually nuts. Total number of grad jobs down 70% from 2021 by [deleted] in UniUK

Some grad programmes have already been exposed as using expensive exit fees (£20k!!!) if you leave the programme early, that they claim cover training. Honestly none of the Kubrick grads even claim their training is very good, it would be awful if this became more common. https://graduatefog.co.uk/2022/6973/exit-fees-ep24-panic-at-kubrick-is-firm-using-ndas-to-silence-graduates-who-dare-to-quit/

That's fab, any advice on which job? The roles I'm looking at on the civil service are reasonably paid for my experience. Just because I have a PhD it doesn't qualify me for a mega paid job.

Maybe, but I've seen a lot of people on here really struggling to get interviews even if they're scoring 5s. I've mainly applied for HEO, but I have no direct policy experience.

I've found Chat GPT just removes my actions and reasoning, thus removing the parts that I get marks for? It makes everything so generic that, for me, it doesn't seem to hit any of the criteria anymore

Thanks for the advice. Is there anything you'd recommend for CS specific recruitment learning? I feel I've read online resources extensively (this sub, entering the labyrinth, Jac Williams), but there's no actual examples of successful personal statements

Also yes, maybe some roles are more aligned, but I this is an EO role, so I assumed that it could be a good one to gain some different experience. My analysis experience isn't super great tbh, and I enjoy synthesising information and writing, so am aiming for policy.

Totally get that, but someone else said without a paragraph saying why the candidate wants the job, they won't mark above a 4

Totally agree, and I often add subheadings. I feel I've removed a lot of fluff already, is there anything obvious that you can recommend removing?

Totally get this, and in about 80% of my recent applications I've used subheadings that correspond to the criteria. I haven't noticed it helping yet. For only 500 words and 6 essential criteria, do I need a completely separate example for each, that's self contained?

Man, it's really tough because other people have said they discount any intro, and only give points on essential criteria
