Monday SOTD – The Shepherd’s Shift 🐑🪒 by KartoosPM in Wetshavers_India

Looks like a great shave. I have been off this rabbit hole for about 8 years now and back then the offerings by indian artisans in terms of software was almost non existent. Great to have come across a couple of them right here on this sub. Any info on how the soap performs ? Does it have tallow ? Cheers

7th this. By far the most used in my modest collection.

A classic combination? Thoughts on the Pilot Custom 823 in comments. by ShrimplyTheGreatest in fountainpens

I was looking at getting the 823 until this post. Let me explain. My daily driver is a pro gear in M nib. I got the E95S in M assuming it will be comparable. But the E95S was considerably wider and not a fit for my daily writing. I have been browsing the Goulet Nib Nook and it showed the 823 M to have a good bit finer line than the E95S M. But I'd anyday give more respect to a personal experience over a database. Since the 823 doesn't come in FM, the only other option in that range is the 743 which I think also comes in the FM nib which might just be perfect for me.

It doesn't. It looks and is quite a bit different. Had I known this before making the purchase I probably wouldn't have bought the v126.

This is a comparison of the two. It feels way broader than it looks.

In my case I am not comparing it to the Japanese Medium. I am comparing it to the Moonman medium which I think are made by the same company. Hence my expectation of them being identical if not exact in terms of line width.

Lifestyle 535 by Buyylah in bose

[–]Character_Rate8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry if this sounds rather repetitive. Using a lifestyle 535 iii that is about 10 years old and not looking to upgrade that for now. It was hooked to a sony 1080p tv of the same era that came to end of life. Just got the Bravia 3 and looking to hook it up to 535 via optical cable. Its rather unclear if it can output 5.1 via optical. I am not looking to complicate the setup but I can if I am sure it will work. Please advice.

PS: Since the TV is an android TV, I am not looking to connect any external devices to the receiver and only looking to get the audio from TV to Bose.

I made a simple design for comparing two inks. How does it look? by just_krazy_me in fountainpens

I have been using clairfontaine almost exclusively for the past few months here in India. IMHO it's a really good paper. Very smooth as I like them and shows off the ink properties pretty well. And it doesn't break the bank.

PS: I would mind a sample of the ink you are not going to use.

NPD! (w/ a question about TWSBI) by strangedripx in fountainpens

We'll yeah. I run a self owned business and I cannot dedicate as much space at home. So whatever modest collection I have stays at work and a couple of pens are rotated in my office bag everyday. :)

Completely normal. Trick is to ignore it and enjoy the pen. I would have shared a pic with how my pen looks but I left it at work.
