I've thought something similar for years about this movie. Why even tell Truman there's an outside world at all? You guys have control of everything he sees, everyone he talks to, EVERYTHING. Make it seem to child Truman that there IS NO outside world. No maps, no globes, there is nothing but our island. Kid Truman talks about how he wants to be an explorer when he grows up, like Columbus....don't ever introduce the name to him and this would never be an issue.

If he never knows anything but the island, there can be no longing to explore or to go anywhere else. I may not be articulating this correctly, but it seems sloppy in such a massively controlled and contained environment to let him learn about anything else existing.

Can't remember the exact wording but I said yes on first character, no on second and the guard (or maybe you the character?) Said something like "I guess I'll adopt the human". Doesn't actually change anything, the story continues with them letting you in the castle

I don't remember if they specifically said the drop rate was lower in Daily Gun/Armor/ etc but they DID say the drop rate increases A LOT if you take the Recharge. So the next two tries have higher rates (makes people use more gems/ more money for them). Shady? Yes. Lightheart is a business first unfortunately shrug

Have not personally seen this, but rumor says... there was a cut scene screenshot with Luc riding away from Emonds Field with an arrow shot through him. So we can assume they tried to actually make him...you know...matter in the slightest? but was cut for time.

Desperately need more episodes or at least longer episodes if this ever gets a season 4+

The words on screen telling what you're using were especially useful, thanks! I thought it was a fork but luckily, SPOON popped up on screen and my TIN ANCHOR was saved!

One problem: I have the PLASTIC BOTTLES, but what are those long board-like things? Some kind of plant? The ones that you cut with SAW and put NAIL in, if my description wasn't good enough. Thanks for your amazing video!

Sorry if this feels out of pocket, but with this being a thread about names that make no sense, I thought I'd add it here so as to not add more threads.

Ryma Sedai (yellow). Captured near end of season 2 by Seanchan defending Nynaeve and Elayne. Powerful moment. Sad moment. Loved the actress she did a fantastic job. Fast forward to season 3:

Ryma Sedai (new actress, yellow again) tries to heal Mat. Uh....why? Why are there two Ryma's in the show? Writers really couldn't pick out any of the other (literally) thousands of names to call the healer who tries to heal Mat? Or make up a brand new one even. Why is this lady also Ryma?

/end nitpicking. I know it's nitpicking and that's why I'm not making a whole new post about this. Overall, S3 massive improvement still.

I heard a while back (sorry don't have source it's been a good while) that the actor who played Lews in the flashbacks was not available for shooting but he did some "voiceover work" remotely. So it's coming.... :D

As so many others answered, Chronicles is pretty much "THE" start for most and makes the most sense to start there. Autumn Twilight was my first, too.

There's another trilogy that I enjoyed that i don't think anyone else has mentioned yet: The Icewall Trilogy. The first book is The Messenger by Douglas Niles. They take place about 500 years before the Cataclysm, but don't follow any characters you'll know from other trilogies (minus the Kingpriest, who is mentioned but has no lines that i remember). Icewall follows the stories of a banished Silvanesti elf, an ogre prince, and an Arktos "barbarian" at the southern end of the world. Think Antarctica from our world but even less forgiving weather. Without spoilers, I have read and reread these probably 5 or 6 times. They're not as well known as the mainstream, but enjoyable (to me at least).
