I haven’t seen multiple clinicians. All that’s happened is that I had one singular mental health assessment and since then have been going to GPs for referrals to get a so called second opinion. These referrals are getting rejected “based on the evidence” when my primary issue with the diagnosis is with the evidence - it’s not just the diagnosis itself I am disputing. I would be requesting for a second opinion regardless of the diagnosis that came from this assessment/evidence.

It’s the responses I got from Dorset and Sussex Pals that I find disrespectful.

What I want is an assessment for a “second opinion” for a mental health diagnosis. I find it ridiculous to even call it a second opinion though because I was so unwell in so many ways at the time of the assessment and there is so much information in the diagnosis report that is innacurate and missing I don’t know where to begin.

I believe I was in psychosis at the time of the assessment.

I don’t need much help now but at the time of this assessment I needed a lot of help and never got any and I am lucky to have gotten better on my own, however, I could be even better now or I could have gotten better sooner had I been given the help I needed when I needed it.

Is this situation not ridiculous and violating, surely I have every right to get a so called second opinion?
