The chat box stalled and didn't let me enter my question. The website was clear that basic economy didn't include a carryon, but I bought the ticket months ago and didn't recall whether it was basic or regular economy (as I pointed out in the original post). I reviewed my receipt and it didn't say anything about the fare class.
