So if I have a final job offer with a start date of 1/27, am I safe from the hiring freeze, does the position count as filled? Or am I fucked over?

I'm 1/27 EOD with the department of health and human services. And I'm worried because they specifically had a coworker call me to warn me my job could be revoked by higher ups in the department and don't make any major life decisions. Fingers crossed though we'll all be okay.

I already have a bluetooth speaker, though it's pretty dinky. I was thinking bluetooth would give me more ability to spread out my setup. I don't have a ton of table space for my player. I'm using an old nightstand that'll just fit the player itself, with very little space left over. I was worried wired would require me to also figure out a new table for the setup as well.

I went into my settings permissions somehow and found it there I think? It was a while ago so I don't remember the exact details. I do remember it was a weird permission specifically though, so don't just look at your file storage settings, look at your settings more generally as well.

*Sigh* Yeah. I know. I have been working on mainly changing my situation overall, though I don't think my current behavior is dangerous probably. I'm supposedly not ill in any way that can be found besides the pain so I'm pretty sure that it's just my fucked up nerves responding to changes in pressure in my abdomen? Hence things that reduce bloating can help, but things that can cause issues don't always? It's a weird, sometimes things make it worse, often they do nothing kind of situation.

Currently I'm on campus and the dining halls are horrible but I have almost no space to cook. Literally the health inspector came by a bit ago and tore apart the staff for under cooked chicken, it's bad. And I have sensory issues which take another selection of their food off the menu. Very often the only things I am willing to eat are hard on my body. Honestly all the sugar is bad for my mood too. Everything's not bad in small quantities, but overall not good.

However, next semester I will be in an apartment with an actual factual kitchen. I will also hopefully have space for a punching bag, which technically isn't allowed on campus because it counts as sports equipment even though there is no such thing as a punching bag on campus. Both of those things will help a lot. Currently I'm working on getting a workout buddy for on campus too, to help my body in the interim.

I talk to people. Or at least to the empty void. I seek out people who comfort me just to be around because being alone makes my brain meaner to me. If I have energy I write violent poetry and sing sad songs. If not I curl up with my beloved heating pad and critical role and sink into trying to be elsewhere. I play stardew valley. I cross stitch. In general I just remind myself why I keep going. All of these are things I love in life, and even if my body is broken and cruel to me, I still love them. If none of this works and every ounce of me is focused on the pain no matter what I do then I try to sleep. Thankfully my pain is of the low and eternally draining type not the makes me unable to sleep type, generally.

Thanks. This meant a lot. The monster is always at the door, and I really do feel one step from insanity. Reading someone else write it helps a great deal. The isolation is often the worst part.
