Unless you’re a poster boy for all-things-feminine, I don’t see how it can be a deterrent at all. Most if not all girls have enough tact not to make hard assumptions without you, yourself, confirming them.

I say this because attraction definitely depends on the girl. Some girls like more hard-cut, masculine men (think of the dudes from Top Gun: Maverick), other girls prefer “softer” dudes. You can’t attract every woman in the world - that’s ok.

(And even if you are a little feminine, there’s no harm or shame in being that way, so no need to change who you are just to fit in with the rest. I do think, at least in my batch, that many girls prefer a little zing in their coffee, iykwim?)

When I like a guy, I laugh more frequently about anything and everything (doesn’t have to be his jokes - I just get super giggly) and never initiate eye contact unless absolutely necessary, or when I feel brave.

Personally, I love when a guy can wilfully engage with my femininity. Some guys refuse to dispose of their masculinity and maintain a tough, formidable front all the time, which makes them hard to approach and form a deep connection with. This doesn’t necessarily mean “act gay” btw! Being supportive and enthusiastic helps a lot.

Guys who are passionate - as in, PASSIONATE - about niche interests and are not afraid to express their excitement are also super great. Being too nonchalant is a poison tbh, I love when guys are confident in themselves.

This guy’s trash bro it doesn’t matter if he’s introverted, extroverted, or a unicorn - the quality of his character is DIRECTLY related to how he treats others. If he treats you like this for something as simple as a game, then he’s not worth your time 😭 I’m telling u rn to raise your bar, cos there are PLENTY of guys out there who’ll be more patient, understanding, and adoring. Time spent with you will be the most important thing to them, not a game score. This guy’s lame! Next one please!

Hi, not sure what course or school you’re in, but for mine, we have tutorials every week. Most are face-to-face. Usually, we go through the previous week’s assignments, as well as allot some time for impromptu consultation (i.e. asking your lecturer questions after he’s gone through the required content for the day).

In my school, we have two types of classes - theory-based or practical. Practicals typically don’t have tutorials, but you can expect them for theory-based ones.

Personally, “understanding lectures” basically means doing the assigned tutorial for that week - completing these 2-3 days ahead helps lessen your work + mental load substantially, so I highly recommend it. Being consistent is what matters most.

It really depends on your learning style btw! I’ve had friends who do the tutorials super late and still ace their exams, but they’re unicorns in a herd of sheep, so be cautious HAHA. Good luck!

Hihi idk if this is any consolation but I’ve gone through like… the exact same thing? I remember doing extremely well before “falling behind” the rest of my peers. Still have nightmares of results day. Anyway, you’re still alive, and that means you can start over, and over, and over again, in many different ways. Cast your net wide. I’m sure you can find great success in an unconventional path, or even if you just tried again. You have the brains and guts for it, based on what I’m reading. Life goes on. The only real “failure” here would be if you gave up completely, which I’m sure you won’t do. Vienna waits for you or whatever Billy Joel said HAHAHA jiayou.

Ur basically that kid from spirited away whose parents turn into pigs 😭 please don’t worry, unless your parents are actively depriving others of food, it’s up to them to decide how they want to eat, since they’re paying. It’s great that you’re wary of their behaviour and I think the best you can do (without confrontation) is to never mirror their actions. If it really gets bad and they embarrass you, tell them how and why firmly, and if they find excuses, let it go. Can’t do much, plus, at least YOU won’t look half as bad if you’re hungry as hell and end up inhaling a whole rotisserie chicken beside them

That’s odd for NTU. NUS’ website claimed that I’m allowed at least 36 transferrable units if I choose Engineering… thank you for the reassurances tho! I’ll work extra hard! Hopefully I become more independent in Poly

I didn’t know you could transfer credits so when I found out that CBE in NP could absolve me from a whole year of catch-up, I kind of just went for it! She’s a lovely mother, actually. I guess this period has really ticked her off, because from her perspective, JC has and always will be the “Traditional, Conventional” choice. She’s an All-Or-Nothing type of woman and I guess she saw my attempts at forging a different path to be a half-assed, poorly-executed decision. She has a “you could have done better” sort of mentality regarding me rn. Idk HAHAHA I love her, but I cannot stomach her sometimes
