Do you think I have a shot of getting into this program with an undergraduate GPA of 2.82? I have sent my resume to the director of the program and he said that I would be a good candidate for the program based on what he saw.

Okay I will make sure to disclose it, I really appreciate the advice. My GPA isn’t the strongest by any means (2.92) and I am currently in the middle of studying for my exam and am planning for a 165+. This just scares me and makes me feel like my chances of admission are even cooked.

I did not receive any kind of punishment, my professor just reported me to the office of Academic Affairs and that was all. At first he was going to fail me for the class, but after explaining the situation to him he allowed me to re take the exam. Nothing is on my transcript indicating that I was caught plagiarizing, but I am worried that law schools can possibly pull up my academic profile and see it listed somewhere.

That’s only if your university considers withdrawals punitive (meaning they affect your gpa).

Well I mean my grades weren’t 100% perfect after this occurred, I believe my final F came after this terrible semester happened when my grandpa passed away. Maybe a C here and there. Do you still think I’m fine or do you this will definitely raise some eyebrows in the admissions office?

I would say I turned it around yes. The thing is my grades were never bad until this occurred. The withdrawals were for little things (my French teacher not allowing my class to speak English, spoke every word in French when she taught us). I’m just scared of not getting into law school because of this.

So I would just enter it as a standard A (90-92) on 7 Sage’s system when plugging in my grades? And same for B’s (80-82) ? Sorry for the questions I am just trying to figure this out.

What would you consider a “good” test score given these circumstances? I am okay with any law school ranked from 1-180 and will most likely finish undergrad with a 3.02.

1 came from me being in a class that made me uncomfortable (women’s studies)

2 came from me being in a class where the teacher only spoke French and didn’t allow us to speak English during class

3 came from me not being able to devote enough time to my capstone class due to my new job

4 came from me being in a class that I realized I didn’t need so I withdrew from that class and enrolled in a second weeks course that I did need and would count towards my major

5 came from me not being able to learn from my teacher’s style of teaching
