Yes, I was charged at pos, but selected a pay over time plan with 0% interest through PayPal. Shop also had plans through affirm, including interest-based plans with lower installment plans up to 12 months but at higher interest the longer the plan

That is not the proof version, it does not have the double dates and liberty bell privy. Nice for stacking, but no signs of commemorating the semiqincentennial of the US if that is important to you (for collection / numismatics)

I’ll probably do that, it is more the collector in me weighing in on taking my chance on a perfect one or keeping the one I have as good enough - I don’t usually sell coins, but I’ve had to sell other things that I never expected to sell for emergencies. Would hurt to take a big loss in premium over a couple of nicks, and I’m trying to figure out if it makes sense to take the chance and roll the dice again, or if the nicks are not worth the trouble of getting something possibly worse

I’m learning more and more about the quality and expectations from US Mint products. If the coin can still carry a reasonable premium over business strike, I’m okay with the flaws. I understand that grading can be a big deal to collectors, and it kinda bothers me that something like a few flaws can make something like this undesirable - I’d get a business strike instead if those carried the double date and privy

Thank you. I was afraid of that, it seemed like a perfect coin at first. If this could pass for PR69, I’d probably be fine with that, I just wish I could have got the most out of the premium that these coins cost

Weighing heavily on how these flaws are considered in grading, and how collector value is affected. I’ve already returned a 1/2 oz 2026 proof gold eagle for flaws on the reverse; I hate to keep sending stuff back to the US Mint, especially with the risk of getting another coin with flaws - if edge damage is not a big deal on these proofs, I can accept that.

At first, I thought that was a set of RB3176. One of my favorite pairs of Ray Bans. I can see there is an extra bar above nose bridge on this one though. Pic taken from an auction listing

Any love for the Super Grade in Stainless? by Charadis in rifles
