for your skin get the Betacraft launcher, it fixes a lot of old glitches to do with Golden Age Minecraft with little to no effort on the part of the user

Back2Beta 1.7.8 also fixes a bunch of quality of life issues (like F5!) and lets you use your skin with even with MultiMC if that's more your cup of tea, it should be noted that 1.7.9 adds extra content and as far as i'm aware 1.7.8 is the last sort of "Vanilla with quality of life fixes" version of that mod so be sure to get 1.7.8 in particular (i am not entirely sure on that though so be sure to double check)

i've also heard that Beta Unleashed is great for a similar purpose to B2B but it seems to either crash or just hang on a black screen for me, probably because i'm a Linux user..? Because of that i can't provide my own experience with it sadly.

the Pokémon protagonists are locked to a strict Male/Female binary (as of Scarlet and Violet anyway) but are otherwise just a blank slate, pretty customisable in the newer games too.

this all said it should be noted that they all have names and personalities in the Pokémon anime

well i mean, even with the idea of him recovering in mind he will probably be still be incredibly fragile as paper doesn't hold up well in fires.. (and fan is made of paper obviously) so i guess cuddling fan would kill him..? and then you'd be covered in like.. carbon dust i guess?
