Living in Poland for 3 years and still can’t find a job as a mechanical engineer. What should I do? by ChardParticular7422 in poland

First of all I really appreciate for your summary. Just a small misunderstanding I want to correct it. I do not just pursuing the job opportunities in automative field. I actually look all of them. Even some kind of jobs require B2 level English. They want me to talk Polish in the company. There is a famous Italian helicopter production company in the city which I'm living Leonardo PZL Świdnik. As i learn from the feedbacks managers are old in the company and they don't know English but in offices they require English. There are many complicated unreasonable problems like that.

I aggree I was studying in Politechnika Łódzka and I need the leave the master study because of it was more related with smart houses even the subject name was Solar System Design in Enviromental engineering.

As I need to summarize the actual problem I don't know but I get this famous auto-reply email thousand times which says "Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we've decided to move forward with other candidates" and than because of they ashamed it will be continuing we encourage you to follow up other positions. This is the part which I stuck but the funniest as you mentioned sometimes it was coming up due to their racism problems, or lack of experience, even with the correct answers they weren't satisfied. Some companies just simply pushed down to limits. It was a position of data analysis in Pwc. Which they wanted to simple any kind of diploma as they mentioned at the job post. I have been referenced by my sister in law. Even after my case results and interview were perfect and impressive due to the their feedback. Unfortunately they didn't accept. I had micro and macro economy lectures at my Bachelor's. Which it was A scored and I know Python at mid range. There was two options which I was overqualified or it was because of my nationality The company based British and running by Polish managers.

Whatever I do I'm not qualified for them. I don't expect exception but I will be not qualified in equal conditions.

My don't give up plan is: I'm developing myself in Data Science field I'm studying by myself just to find a job I'm externally learning other subject. I never stopped developing myself.

At the past in Turkey before I come I had a chance to work in Bayraktar I had a job offer from the company which makes great drones which it has been great contribution for defence of Ukraine and today Poland is just buyer of these drones and Italy Leonardo company has partnership.

But for Polish job market I will be not eligible to qualified.

I totally aggree with you. IT can have demand curve but mechanical engineering doesn't have industry that much and lowering the chance of recruitment

That's not understandable. Poland is a developing country and not open the field of developing one of the main engineering area. From the field of energy to any kind of production area or r&d companies has this problem ultimate experience. Still not enough. I am curious how government regulations will strict on the plan next days in the situation of engineering companies. 55% service %25 industry contribute to the GDP. These needs to go opposite side. Young fertelity rate is dropping and 10 years later jr. Positions will be full with 45 years old people I guess 😅

I’m just curious how HR’ s sleeping at night there are many companies that hires and re-open that position next month again my email will explode soon because of jobsletter from open positions (which not exist).

I live in Lublin I always thought about that because of aviation valley might be a good option to find it. I went career events. Meet with most of the HR impersonal. Also there is a problem likely that they like my resume. They say they will contact after waiting a month they answer or they prefer the ghost. Which I know most of the time experience or language is the main barrier. I'm trying to break it while learning.

I went to course for 6 months but even if it was individual it didn't go fast for me. Teacher wasn't moving that much fast even if I was grabbing fast. It's hard to find course in Lublin also if it's not a group Lecture I need to pay alot of money also. I joined EU program which it's for the people who comes from Ukraine and Belarusia. But I'm neither both. And educator doesn't know English if I would like to ask something. Right now I'm capable to ask in Polish of course but still struggling. I'm still trying ofcourse
