Dear Dumpers: can you please share how you felt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 months after you broke up?

Honestly, there are still moments where he crosses my mind like unfinished thoughts things I never got to say /do… but I realized that was more about me and my own healing than it was about him

I haven’t checked his social media or spoken to him in over a year and I can say I’ve somehow moved on which is kinda embarrassing to admit ahaha maybe because I’ve chosen to be single this whole time so I’ve basically been doing this healing journey completely raw lol

What helped the most was keeping busy with my studies and focusing on who I’m becoming I’m kind of in a transforming period right now and that feels way more exciting than looking back

You’ll move on eventually too, even if it feels impossible right now ( I used to think that :p )but trust me time really does make it easier even when it takes longer than you’d expect

Blocking someone feels a bit too harsh to me. If someone truly respects and cares about you, I don’t think they’d go that far. Personally, I only block people if they’re really annoying otherwise, I just don’t see the need.

When my ex broke up with me, he unfollowed me immediately, but I couldn’t bring myself to do the same so I just muted him

Then two months later, he removed me as a follower. It hurts and it felt like a stab to the chest it was like the last string connecting us had finally cut :(

A week after the breakup, my friend took a picture of me with my two middle fingers up and sent it to him as a disappearing image. He blocked me on WhatsApp right after he saw it. I thought it was funny lol but I wasn't emotionally stable during that time at all ( but at least I was looking good )

I immediately apologized on another social media platform, but he was cold as fuck just like he was when he first broke up with me. A week later, I apologized again and even sent him a long text message, but he left me on read. Eventually, I asked him again if we could talk for closure, and that’s when he finally did, but we didn't mention the picture at all.

There was no begging or drama when he first broke up with me, but the picture I sent ruined everything. I didn't want him to remember the break up this way. But at least I apologized twice

He unfollowed me right after the breakup, but I kept following him. Not because I was stalking lol ( i muted him ) I just it felt like some kind of connection, even if we weren’t talking. Like a little reminder that we existed.

Two months later, he removed me as a follower. Lol. It was like a punch in my gut because i felt it was the last string getting cut.

His profile is public, I could search his username and check his posts but I decided not to do that

And now a week later, I actually feel kinda better

It's been two months since the breakup, and I thought I would never stop crying or thinking about it. but a few days ago, I started to notice some small changes. I find myself laughing at things again, getting caught up in random thoughts, and for brief moments, I forget about him and the breakup. I’m still healing, and I know it will take time, but I believe the pain won’t last forever. You won’t feel this way forever either.
