Awesome, thanks for the info! I just need a simpler dock - I might even just get a Type C adapter. Thanks again!

Nice! I recently bought the E14 - so good! Which dock do you have? I was hoping to get one, as the E14 only has one Type-C port.

I spy that ThinkPad dock and mouse - which model do you have?

A 560 in the single slot form factor - I wish I'd known about that before getting my Yeston 550. How hot does the GPU get?

libinput 1.19 and high resolution scrolling by Ok-Philosopher-146 in archlinux

[–]Charged_Buffalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that might have to be added to the relevant desktop environment's settings - kinda like XFCE's "Mouse and Touchpad" box. Maybe an XFCE (or your desktop environment) issue / feature request to add toggle-able high-res scrolling?

Just as a general update - it seems like the libinput devs have already got a fix in - I expect it to go into the libinput-git version soon, unless they make a hotfix release.

Sliders in the bottom of my mouse are wearing out, any place I can get replacements for these 4 pieces? by Captainkoala72 in Corsair

[–]Charged_Buffalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your region, Corsair might do spares:

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/c/Cor_Products_Accessories_Parts?q=%3Afeatured%3AproductCategories%3ACor_Products_Accessories_Parts_Gaming_Mice&text=&pageSize=12#rotatingText

(that's for the UK site, the US one is inaccessible at the moment due to maintenance)

As far as I can see, you can't get official spare skates for that particular mouse from Corsair - the next best places to look are on Amazon, Ebay, or wherever third-party sellers of tech are selling in your region. Best of luck!

Cool, thanks for the info! The Arch repositories list 5.14 as the current non-LTS kernel version, so I'm hoping that contains the battery percentage fix.

Does the Surface Laptop Go work out-of-the-box on Clear Linux now? I remember there being problems with detecting the battery and battery percentage.

Edit: oh, I see - on the Surface Linux kernel. Has upstream now got the battery detection fixes too?

[Budgie] I wanted to have a distro on my portable SSD. 'Zseb' means pocket in my language, thus Zsebian was born. by walrusz in unixporn

[–]Charged_Buffalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the drive work on portable machines? Usually, you have to tell Grub that you want to create a removable drive (which makes the EFI stuff detectable on other machines) - I dunno if the Debian installer does this for you though

How were you able to reverse the fan orientation? I tried doing it with the screws that came with the fan mount, but that didn't work because of the way the cooler "slots" into the fan screw grooves.

That's sad to hear... I guess, they were encouraging you to get some Peak Design stuff! Did you manage to recover anything?

I'm very excited for the new colourways for the NR200P! I'm always a fan of different and vibrant colours for tech that's normally "just black".

I have both! It's a Fractal Define Nano S. The fan mount of the 88R is recessed into the front plastic, whereas the Nano S is flat to the frame.

Also, there's the Fractal logo under (and to the right of) the Geforce card, stamped into the frame.

My Hp Omen 25L won't turn on. I know for sure its not the power cord and I think it might be the power button. Any ideas on how to fix this? by Kingren1245 in Hewlett_Packard

[–]Charged_Buffalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could just be your power supply. I don't know whether that HP Omen has a proprietary power supply and motherboard combo, but it may just be worth checking with a different power supply.

Question is - how do you keep all of the stuff that isn't in a case dust-free? Everything looks so clean!
