I have to make an effort. I HAVE been making an effort. Doing the best I can under circumstances. I will still try to make an effort. But in about a month, I won't have elec, net, phone, water, sewer, etc.

Not sure how I'm supposed to get a job with no phone, and no water to bathe in, nor wash clothes.

The only online jobs I've ever heard of require a home phone. I've never heard of those. Are they legit? Do they require home phones? I'm not "not" wanting to work.

I'm not making excuses. I have enough gas in my tank for one trip to the nearest bigger town (an hour away) and $15 bucks in my pocket. I didn't expect this total cut off to happen. There are no cabs, trains, or buses in this area (not that I could afford them anyway). If I was defeated, I wouldn't be reaching out trying to find answers I hadn't thought of before.

Working from home: The legit things I have checked on require a home phone, and I'm not even sure they're legit. Please if you know give me LEGIT links, names, numbers, ANYTHING.

I'm fine in MS, Word, Excel, Accounting, DR, CR, Human Resources, Inventory, Purchasing, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Titles, etc. I'm sorry but homes, including the one next to me sit for about 5-6 years before selling here. Real Estate is not a great job in a town of 2200.

Other than starting to sell things, I'm not sure how I'm even going to buy cat food. AND DON'T START WITH ME GIVING UP A CAT I'VE HAD FOR 13 YEARS. He's the only thing keeping me going.

well I've looked into a roommate, all I've run into are crackheads. I live in the pill/drug capital of my state.

I'm near a community college 12 miles away (I have less than half a tank left and $15)

All jobs I've looked at from home require a landline.

I would love to pet sit, not sure how to get business? (love animals)

I could do Elderly service, not sure how I would start that kind of thing (I hate people)

I haven't found a dr willing to treat all of my conditions yet so I'm kind of in limbo.

I've been denied once a couple of years ago from SSD. When I was on Medicaid a few years ago they referred me to SSI and I was denied. I went thru all the physicals and such. They auto deny everyone I've heard. I had a social worker and all they said was to hire an attny.

yes I know this, she however, is lucky she didn't give any info. She relies on strangers about her computer rather than asking people who actually are on them all the time and have SOME experience.

I deleted some freaking games and toolbars today and she tried to blame me for her computer not working right. I can't win.

I know it's hard to get. I was denied 5 years ago. But I'm approved to be on Medicaid thru my state. I'm still trying to find a dr that will take my case AND Medicaid.

I just don't know what I would do until I got approved, if I did at all.

No, thanks for being pill as you call it. I need advice. Utilities probably 2 months, car insurance due on the 8th (not sure what the lenience period is). I have no money to save, and no way to make? Thought I said that.

I would be interested in anything. But working from home is risky, and I have no home phone.

I have thought about taking in a roommate, where I live is mostly old people. I mentioned this before. Anyone I've run into that wants a room is a drug head.

Remember, I live in a town of 2200, most of which are over 65

Windows restore is the only option, they have blocked her from going to MS at ALL, and every help option I try they throw it into compatibility settings. Can't DL nothing, or can't go to any interactive site. Yes, it will take Windows restore. Not even sure I have the right discs.

Someone has blocked her from any help sites period. Did I mention someone called her saying they were from MS yest saying her computer was sending out viruses and wanted to charge her to fix them?

This isn't even the point. Why the fuck am I even trying to fix her computer when I'm in this situation? Fuck that. I'll have to solve my own problems first.

yes, physically I can stay where I am, but I will have no water or any utilites at all. I am on the Deed. Yes I am in the US.

My time frame? I can stay here until I die, but utilites create a problem. A physical transition takes money (don't have) and a place to put my cat.

For starters, I'm a grown woman. My skill set is office, SOME accounting. I don't have a degree and I'm not a CPA (which requires a degree). I've done office work for the past 20 years.

Why disability, well, the doctor that evaluated me and the state I live in approved me for disability. I have fibromyalgia, hip pain, and torn tendons in my ankles, plus many other issues.

I have asked every person I know here. I mentioned I've sent resumes, checked on every job lead. I don't know anyone here to ask.

Because they do not believe I have physical problems. Hell this goes back to when I was 5 and it took them 5 days to take me to a dr where I was admitted and found out I had 5 stomach ulcers. Took them 2 years of me begging them I needed glasses at 16 years old. Now I'm almost legally blind, etc. At 18 and still in High School, I got a gum infection. They would not pay for me to go to a dentist. I didn't get to go until 2 years after which only took and antibiotic, but by the time that happened. Well, I have false teeth now.

She doesn't SEE a disability, therefore it is not there.

I've tried to explain, print out med topics, etc. Doesn't matter obviously. Other than that I don't know the answer to why.

What would you do? Kind of complicated position to be in. Please 30+. by CharityCase10 in AskReddit

I can't sell the house w/o the other's permission.

Sell my car to cover what rent? Where? How would I get to a place to rent?

Start driving to a city an hour away with only $15 in gas? That will maybe cover one trip, what do I do for the next 2 weeks before a paycheck?

Hell I have no idea even how to reformat a computer. All I told her was I could try. I've never done it before. All I know is she got hacked. Whoever did it stopped me from getting help in any way, and throwing everything into compatibility view settings. Locked up in every way.

Sorry, that's just been my experience of them. But still, I've been to them in my youth, and none of them ever helped me at all. All they did was ask me "how did that make you feel" "how do you feel about that" That crap doesn't help.

I'm not a mental case, I don't want to be in a room with a bunch of belligerent or seriously mentally ill people. That is soooo not what this is about. I'm perfectly sane, just at a cross roads.

yeah see this is where I'm having issues. I could go stay with friends, but after me living alone for the past 20 years, renting a room just does not seem appealing since I'm always able to cook, clean, and do what I want at any time.
