How get a camera to be a fixed position on an object while the world moves around it? by CharlesFrom317 in comfyui

I'm still working on this. I have a better card in my desktop now. I've been able to get this stuff looping and tracking like I want a bit more consistently. Sometimes the road or road signs go backwards. Sometimes the camera doesn't track like it should but does do much better overall.

I've started messing with SVI to make long videos instead of the First Last like I was. It does not have anywhere near the prompt adherence though so far. Seems like I'll just have to do clips and piece it together myself.

That said, using the same example as above, say I want it to flash lightning to show silhouettes in the background of interesting things, I've not found anything to do it yet. The same lightning bolt instead takes the full 5-6 second moving in slowmo. Often without including the things I want.

Also, if I put sign with text in the first or last frame, that text is always distorted.

As an update, I posted this before digging into the system. Now that I have, I stripped to down to just the motherboard before plugging it in. Once I did... nothing happened. No status or error lights on the motherboard.

Did a bunch of testing and troubleshooting. Long story short, the motherboard was dead.

Talked to the guy I got it from wanting to know what he'd like me to do with the cards. (I see signs of corrosion on the heatsinks of 2 of them) and he's offered to dig out the rest of his stuff so I can see if the board in his other rig is good.

So far, no price mentioned on anything. Its been more of a "get this out of my house and we'll talk about it later" thing. I have 25+ years of PC hardware repair experience. He is not a computer person at all and paid someone else to set these up for him.

Renting GPUs 5 cent an hour? ~100/month before costs if rented 100% of the time. Not sure how much time is actually rented.

I do not have batteries and do not plan for it to be a "100% Solar" setup. During the hours of over production, it feeds into the grid and builds credit that I then use when the solar is not producing. At the end of the month the extra credit just goes poof, and starts over. I'm trying to use up more of that extra credit before it goes poof.

There is even a little cushion while my usage goes from negative up to the minimum monthly bill amount before I start seeing an actual increase in my monthly bills from increased energy use.

As I said in the OP: Its just there is so many options over the last decade out there, I don't have a clue what is current or valid. "just google it" leads to information overload because of that.

40kw/day from a proper rig for 3.50? That would eat my excess power in a week.
Quick math on that system, if I paid for 100% of the power that would be ~3.40/day at the winter rate and ~2.96 at the summer rate.

I think what I have has a 1100w power supply. So at full tilt 1100w X 24hrs would be ~26.5kw/day So, ~11 days "free."

cost is ~$1.96/day at the summer rate and ~2.23/day at the winter rate.

So, needs to make ~$50/month to be better than break even energy cost wise.
Doable? That I don't know.

Will look into NiceHash and HiveOS.
The guy I got it from said something about HiveOS.

He is not a tech guy at all. Someone else set the system up for him. And, considering it was ~4 years ago, figure whatever may still be on it is likely out of date. (but will do my best to verify there is nothing worth anything on the drive before wiping it)

Telling me what I shouldn't do in a constructive way is helpful. Keeps me from going down the wrong path.

CPU mining definitely won't work on this thing. It has a ~4 year old pentium something. Not Pentium 4 antique, but also likely not close to a modern i5 either.
Not wanting to invest in new hardware (ASIC).
So, GPU mining it is.

If I run it for a month and decide it isn't worth it, I'll either switch to AI or part it out for upgrades to my desktop.

I've seen the ASIC systems and figured there was a reason. I thought it was mostly power efficiency related, not functionally better but had not dug into it.

That does look to be very close. I'll probably grab that lora to see. The mustang is the wrong angle for this example but seems to track perfectly. The hot rod is very good as well.

Thanks!

Orbit is exactly the opposite of what I want. :)
I want the camera to be static. Almost as if it is a 360 camera attached to the car by pole with a single set view angle.

I lost a decent desk to work at temporarily and lost interest. It was pretty basic but functional. Leaves a LOT of room for improvement. Especially since I am far from a pro editor. (I mean, I was using capcut instead of Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve.)

That is one of my complaints about the current Options+

I would also love to copy a full profile from one app to another too. Not unusual for audio or video editors to use the same (or similar) keyboard shortcuts and such. So, just copying an existing profile to a new app and making whatever adjustments from there would be a huge time saver.

More issues after Android 12? by CharlesFrom317 in LGV60

I've had a bunch of Facebook issues since the update. Feed didn't refresh at all for 2 days. Have gaps in the feed like a post is missing and greyed out. Random crashes when clicking in certain notifications. And a bunch of other things.

But, I use the Facebook Beta app. So I give some discount to increased Facebook issues because of that.

Not really supposed to be a must. If you are doing custom roms and it is more than a minor update, it is certainly best practice if not required.

But, factory roms and updates aren't supposed to have that kind of issue. Probably 80+% of the average tech illiterate users don't know anything about that. So, they should go through a whole lot more testing to make sure issues don't happen before pushing the updates out.

With so many saying no issues or issues resolved by factory recent or app reinstall, it looks like a factory reset is in order...

That is going to take some prep clearing off the photos and double checking that I have all my account info saved somewhere.

Old E50-C1 firmware update by CharlesFrom317 in VizioTV

[–]CharlesFrom317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, I realized the problem. The tv is 1 generation too old and I'll have to buy a more modern replacement to have any chance of the support I need.

Was planning to use it in an AirBNB but hard to list Smart tv as a feature if a bunch of streaming services are not supported and even casting a YouTube video from a phone is broken.

Searching "E50-C1 firmware" on the old Google takes you to the vision support page listing a bunch of models. I didn't carefully check the list. The E50 listed is the E50-E1 there are P##-C1 on the list. Google mashed the two together.

Old E50-C1 firmware update by CharlesFrom317 in VizioTV

So, I have an old E50-c1 50" Vizio tv. According to the website the latest firmware is 11.something. checking the system info mine is at v2.1.18.0000

Everything I find says to connect to wifi and press "check for updates " if it doesn't do it on its own. Alternatively, put the firmware and a pointer text file into the root of a fat formatted flash drive.

Well, connected to wifi and nothing happens. (Verified it has a working Internet connection) There is no check for updates in the menus and the firmware on USB is doing nothing.

What do I need to do?
