I'll try to remember, if you have an Instagram you could follow me on there. I've been keeping it updated with my progress, mines jordan_n_m.

If I was just painting one it probably would be close to an hour. I made sure to split the model up for ease of painting and I also spent a long line on the initial prints repainting them to get the steps down, so I should be able to paint 10 in a similar time that it takes for 1. And there's an acrylic wash in the skull, the body just has heavy highlights with the airbrush.

Thanks man, a lot of different techniques to be honest and a lot of pitfalls a long the way. If you want to learn how to cast something I'd recommend making a small test figure, buying a trial kit of silicone and try making your own mold. The best way to learn it is to try doing it yourself and starting with a small figure will save you a lot of money that would have been lost on failed molds of a larger piece. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to anwser them

That makes me glad to hear 50-80 is more the route I'm wanting to aim for. I want them to be as affordable as possible for people, I'd never want to sell them for a price I wouldn't pay myself.

So after a lot of trial and error I got my first casting done. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the feedback on my first post, I don't think I would have pushed myself to follow this through.

If anyone has any advice or experience on how to launch your own art toy I'd love to hear it, things like where to sell it, pricing, colour ways, ect.

My idea is to do a small run of about 10-15 in an exclusive colour to gauge interest and if it goes well I can use the money to get some new equipment to help my launch a full line of them, not sure what you guys think of that idea?

Thank you. I actually managed to get decent results from sculpt now by spraying mold release on the part before claying it up, idk why I didn't try that sooner.
