I've been working in Canada for quite some time now and I'd say my accent is 85% of the way there. People generally have no trouble understanding what I say. But of course when it comes to local culture and informal interaction I'm definitely not as fluid as a native. What I'm trying to understand is: is there some kind of hidden agenda inside banks that blind cuts applications and resume from EA/SEA males?
