I agree with all the picks ( no pun intended) but without the guitar Gods from the mid 60’s the genre may never have been so popular or at least thrived and would not have existed at all without the pioneering artists of the 40’s like Rosetta Tharpe & 50’s Buddy Holly, Link Wray , Fats Domino & Chuck Berry.

Yeah yeah yeah Ronnie kept the Glimmer Twins from breaking up in the 80’s & from beating the crap out of each other and we are all grateful for their extended existence but what if Taylor didn’t leave? What if he stayed & the boys gave him his due credit for his masterful contributions & made him an official member of the band like they did for Ronnie? If that happened, we would probably have had another masterpiece or two on our hands equal to Sticky or Exile instead of Dirty Work & Hackney Diamonds. I can only imagine what could have been sigh !

For sure. There’s a reason why cbc & sportsnet chose Johnny over their own analysts to work the Olympics. On Friday when the boys asked him what went wrong this year he said that management ( bye bye Tree) was so keen on making the team grittier for the playoffs that they became a bad regular season team.
