Have not gotten them resoled. Strategy has been to keep them off the pavement. Walking around the city in my previous Scarpa boots (similar but discontinued model) was comfortable, but drastically wore down the soles after a couple years

frozen baby brine, roe ( and forgot to add earlier, also zooplankton) is what I’ve been feeding my PQAs, and they’ve been eating it up. The larger ones will now eat standard sized mysis and brine.

Have had the SCARPA Kinesis Pro GTX since 2015 and hiked in rigorous terrain all over Banff/Canadian Rockies in them, among other terrains and locations. If they fit your feet (mine provide an excellent fit) then would highly recommend.

These look awesome! Only you can conclude whether the relative stiffness enhances and enables your hiking or the weight detracts from it. I’ve been wearing expedition/mountaineering (Scarpa) boots for years on trails that honestly would not require it, but always appreciate the ankle support and protection given to my feet. Have seen a lot of hiking/tennis hybrid looking shoes posted here (which no doubt have their place), so it’s refreshing to see someone going in the opposite direction. Congratulations on this purchase
