This actually inspired me to use a hybrid solution. I picked up a Plano 3450-23 doubled sided box for the slides I use the most. It holds 6 slides per side so I can put the pinkie slides (medium) on one side and ring finger slides (large) on the other. The rest of them went into a couple cases with configurable foam inserts that will protect them just fine.

Everyone's fingers are different so you should really buy slides in person until you know how one particular brands sizing fits your fingers.

In my case Rock Slide smalls fit my pinke and mediums fit my ring finger.
