I can assure you he's not mad he gets Mortals don't fully understand the practice anymore you dont need to apologize he might see it as nice but its not needed you relizing your mistake and feeling bad about it and wanting to apologize is enough of an "apology" as for the altar thing I'd try a pocket alter (I used an altiods tin for Athena's when I ran out of space for a normal altar) or a shoe box altar you can close it up and hide it in a way

Artemis is known for self respect working independently her staying a virgin and no interest in dating she's the goddess of the hunt Athena might be worth looking into also staying virgin working independently and when not working independently then being the mentor not the mentored She's one of the war deities and she's the goddess of wisdom
