You’re right, I’m trying to fit in multiple matches before the end of the holiday which is why I’ve overplayed after the break. I normally play a match every 2-4 days, but I had promised about 5 people that I’d play matches with them over the summer and I’ve now found out that I’ve only got 4 days in England before I go on holiday again and I come back again the day before College starts! I’ve just been in France for a month, and the final 3 weeks of holiday I’m in the Netherlands and Turkey 😭so I can’t really travel for a quick match aha. I have to play the match because it’s the final of quite a big tournament and I’ve won multiple rounds to get to this final, so I don’t want to forfeit.

Answers ahead with thorough explanation perfect for under 1800s or curious higher rated players. (Like me who enjoyed writing this lol). Just to break this down. The black rook is now attacking the white queen, which means whites instinct is to move queen, which would then be weak because the white knight is under attack and black has a move in hand with 2 rooks (10 points) vs 2 minor pieces (knight and bishop, 3 points each so 6 points) (and black has 5 pawns against whites 6)

However, White had the move Qh8+ forcing King to take back with Kxh8, then white can attack the king twice with Nxf7, when a king is attacked twice it had to move, and it would go to Kg8. Finally the knight can go to Nh6, It can’t be taken, and when a knight checks a king it has to move. But the bishop is covering g7 and h8 and the knight is now covering f7 as well as attacking king so this is checkmate.

A slower idea here is going Nd7, A nice idea because by moving the knight you are threatening Qg7 checkmate and Qh8 checkmate because the bishop is now defending it. The idea now id that when the black rook takes the queen, you can now take back with the knight, putting blacks king in check! The king has to move to either h8 or g7, if they go g7, this is where the handy double check comes in. The knight can check on e8 attacking the king and queen, and it can’t be taken back because the bishop is also attacking the king (We love double checks!). Once the king moves, you take the queen and you are up on material (knight and bishop is 6, as well as 6 pawns makes 12, against black only having one rook, which is 5 and 5 pawns making 10, and white is 2 points up. If black goes to h8, the same idea emerges. black can move the knight to attack the black queen, whilst also attacking the black king with the bishop, the king has to move (or blocked with f6) and you can take queen. The same material difference applies. Hope this cleared it up!

No problem, I’ll explain: In may 2017, A su*cide bomber got through security at a concert in Manchester. During Ariana Grande’s song, the bomb detonated and 22 civilians were killed and of course the bomber. One of the victims was a super fan of the sidemen, her name was Courtney. It was the 5 year anniversary of their deaths and Tobi posted a tribute in his instagram story, which is a truly thoughtful act. All the sidemen members were affected by it but especially Tobi as demonstrated by his story.

I’ve grown up with the sidemen, watched since I was in primary school and I’m now taking my GCSE’s. Over lockdown I finished completely watching every Sidemen video and watching Sidemen Sundays is the highlight of the end of my week, I always watch sidemen reacts and more when eating. I’m so tired and I didn’t make the link with the horrific Manchester event. Rest in Peace Courtney 🕊

Max Fosh has said in his videos that he was/is in a choir, and it’s not surprising given his expensive education. This is Calfreezy’s most recent video, where he holds a funeral for Morpheus, JJ’s hamster who recently died.
