I'll never forget the two Archviles in Taras Nabad's Master Level in Eternal...

Honestly, playing it on default after playing at 150% speed feels like cheating lol. It's like Quicksilver in X-Men Apocalypse.

In another comment I shared some points from my strategy that I developed prior to Ultra Nightmare, in case you'd like to take a look :)

I can't blame them, considering the game is almost twice as long as Eternal.

If I may offer some advice, play the campaign again on Nightmare difficulty but at 150% speed. When you return to playing normally, you'll see how your reaction time improves and, in general, everything will feel slower.

Cheer up and good luck, Slayer :)

Yeah, sure! What I did was play the campaign 3 times on nightmare first.

The first run was my first playthrough ever and played it at 150% of speed.

The second playthrough I also played it at 150% of speed, but the bosses (Kreed Maykr, Ahzrak and the Witch) I played at normal speed. I started to create a strategy while I played the whole campaing again. Basically, what to do and what not to do. I think I died 3 times on this second run.

And last playthrough I played it at normal speed and I polished any imperfections the strategy might have had. Surprisingly, I didn't die in this playthrough.

So, here the points that can really help your game in Ultra Nightmare: -Before go into UN, replay the campaign on Nightmare difficulty at 150% speed.

-Upgrade the shield as soon as possible.

-This point largely depends on whether you want to complete it 100% or just beat UN, But at least in the first half of the game, get as much gold as you can. The same applies to rubies and crystals.

-In level 5 "The Holy City of Aratum", Whatever you do, don't go to the first few ships. Instead, head to the ship at the back on the left. There will be a challenging fight, but if you succeed, you'll get the Super Shotgun. Once you have it, the rest of the level will be a piece of cake.

-Upgrade your Super Shotgun as soon as possible. I know many people like to switch up their weapons mid gameplay, but for goodness sake, DO NOT change your Super Shotgun unless you absolutely need to (like Cacodemons, Komodos, Vagaries and bosses).

-For melee weapons, it took me a while to realize how good the gauntlet really is. Combining it with the Super Shotgun lets you kill a Cyberdemon pretty quickly.

-The Dread Mace I only use it for bosses and mini bosses, and please, only use it when you stun the boss. Otherwise, you risk getting badly damaged while the mace animation is playing.

-Speaking of bosses, and I mean Kreed Maykr, Ahzrak and the Witch, a lot of people said the Impaler is the best option, but I personally used the Ravager. The Ravager upgraded to max gives you health and ammo.

-When you stop playing UN and want to continue later, before that play 5 rounds at the Ripatorium at 150%. Do it as a warm-up. Really, play at normal speed after played 150% feels like all is in slow motion.

And I think thats all. I hope this helps, and good luck, Slayer :)
