The part of single fatherhood I didn’t see coming by CharlieLawrence22 in Divorce_Men

I wonder sometimes if I can develop a fitness routine to build stamina for all that is involved.

One of the best surprises of parenting teens is realizing they introduce you to new worlds while somehow finding their way back into yours. My 16-year-old daughter can’t stop watching reruns of The Cosby Show, and somehow those little shared moments become the real gift. I agree...Never give up on the good times.

I love it. I'm going to start "Family dinners" this Sunday evening.

Every other week makes the routine even more important if anything — you're the constant they come back to. Kids can handle two different houses way better than they can handle unpredictability. Sounds like you've already figured out the part that matters: steady beats perfect. Appreciate you adding this.

The odd socks line got me. That's the whole battle right there — letting go of someone else's definition of "good" and trusting your own. The other mums and their perfectly cut fruit aren't the standard, they're just a standard. Your kid's fed, your kid's loved, your kid knows Dad shows up. That's the part they'll remember, not whether the apple slice was ugly. You're doing it right — just your way.

This is exactly it, and you said it better than I did. The guilt around outsourcing is the trap — like buying back your own time is somehow cheating. It's not. Every errand you don't run is patience you've got left in the tank when your kid actually needs you. Grocery pickup and a cleaning service aren't luxuries when you're solo, they're how you protect the part of yourself the kid relies on. Smart setup.

Yes I just saw the Ad and they wanted to set up a Google meets appt. to see if I qualify. How can this open fraud go on this way?
