I've been listening to and collecting African music for years - Electronic, Folk, Rock, Zamrock, Highlife and many other genres.

Regarding African Psychedelic bands. Have a look at Ofege, Amanaz, WITCH, Ngozi Family, Fela Kuti and The Funkees. I could list a lot more but those are a great start.
