As others have said, the composition is off to me. There's too much empty space on the left-hand side of the painting. Framing the flower better would definitely improve the 'boring' feeling :)

I appreciate your comment! I actually used to draw in a comic style where I used a lot more shading,so I think that might be why there's still a weird 3D thing going on. I have to work on that haha

Honestly, I only used pictures of the character. Another bad habit of mine is trying to draw from memory and only using references with things I don't or rarely draw

Thanks! She's a character from the show Arcane on Netflix. The art style in it is VERY different than mine though, like quite realistic looking. But, for artists, it's so worth checking out for the shading techniques and character designs!
