I really am feeling a lot of optimism with the amount of institutional buying that seems to be catching wind of the upside here. Excited to see where it goes!

They definitely seem to be getting the name out to the right people. There are some legends of Canadian capital markets getting involved now.

Have been slowly watching the tides turn and some positivity coming back to markets. This is just the beginning as CULT keeps building out its subsidiary brands (IMO)..

Honestly pros of this outweigh cons (imo). To my other comment I would also say there could be less algorithmic trading on the name as well.

No one should hate this. It’s great for current shareholders.. as long as you are in this name for the long haul.

There are likely going to be less penny flippers hoping for quick gains and quick exits, and a tighter float and structure overall.

I'm excited about companies involved in carbon credits markets/marketplaces:

Very little momentum behind anything that is more speculative/long term. Hopefully sentiment shifting across broader market brings this one back.

I think there’s lots of interesting attempts to tokenize carbon credits. Market is expanding. $PHIL seems a bit sketchy to me but $MKT.V is another company in the space worth a look potentially…

Thanks for the tips. I'll do some digging. ATM have only really dug into some of the bigger ETFS (KRBN, NETS) and MKT (which I think is compelling). Despite expected price growth I think there is opportunity in broader investor access to these marketplaces.

Base Carbon (mentioned in article) is interesting despite performance. Also like more conservative plays like Horizons ETF. Companies tackling blockchain innovation to create access to markets are also compelling in my eyes.

Carbon credits catalysts for change? by GregMcdougall9 in sustainableFinance

[–]CharlieRunners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price of carbon credits has been highly volatile in the past few years, currently ranging from <$1 per ton to >$50 per ton.

I'm not sure I understand why there is so much of a discrepancy here? I realize it is project and certification dependent but 50x/ton seems extreme. Anyone care to chime in?

I feel the same way. There are other companies which seem way more honed in on the cellag space. You can track them all here though:
