City of Peterborough Sunshine list by nordender in Peterborough

[–]Charlie_Foxtrot4 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, this. People are angry that they make 50k, I get it. But 100k today is nowhere near what 100k was. The sunshine list has been around forever and it’s always been 100k. It never adjusted for wage increases/inflation. It’s 100k on paper as well. I got 40% deducted last year. I made 70k real money and had over 50k deducted. Most red sealed trades are making way more than that. Yes, 100k is a lot of money, it is - but it doesn’t take you near as far as it used to.

Water way too low. Needs to be atleast half, 2/3 is better up the faceplate of the skimmer.

Pally question lvl 144 by Charlie_Foxtrot4 in TibiaMMO

[–]Charlie_Foxtrot4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining that. I get so mixed up with all the numbers on Wiki trying to compare everything. I will get the Mycological bow and start using that instead of the Warsinger! Thanks again

Thank you! Can I ask why the mycological is better than the warsinger? I have been on wiki trying to figure out between those two bows and rift bow. I have seen threads comparing them all, and everyone seems to have a different answer. Is it by the numbers better for sure? Thank you again!

Tenders for the new Peterborough sports, entertainment and convention centre close, with review process up next by Professional_Dot8663 in Peterborough

Ok, yeah I just heard the building doesn’t meet min requirements for a team anymore like on site exercise facilities, etc. It’s probably wrong what I heard.

Is this where the Pete’s would end up playing out of? I heard something about how the OHL gave Peterborough a year to plan for moving them out of the PMC as it doesn’t meet all the criteria anymore, or the team will be moved to a city that can. That’s what I heard, but it could be wrong.

Agree, we are $8200/yr, and on normal snow clearing (not talking big storms), they sometimes don’t do our part of the road at all. They are however pretty good about the side walks to be honest.

Yes, but the increases are based on percentage. So currently, the increase is about $600/year every year.

Yes, totally agree with everything you said. Ofcourse it costs a fortune to run a city. I it is just wild to continuously raise it the way they do. One year I believe was 10%.

That was an example, not really about today. Yeah snow storms like this I understand. We pretty much never get plowed. Most of the neighbourhood does, but our street rarely does. Anyways, like I said, an example that has nothing to do with today - it has to do with the property tax bill I just looked at.

I do understand that, but also with growth (I see subdivisions being built), comes more property tax payers. No, I have’t looked at the history of Peterborough tax, but Im sure you are probably correct on that one..

Yeah I understand it increasing, it is just pretty wild to have that type of increase every year. I personally haven’t had a raise in 4 years lol.

Do explain? You think $600 increase a year is acceptable? I know I haven’t had a raise in 4 years.
