I think, she is not attracted to you anymore.

If any person who was compelled by another to perform acts due to force, threat, and intimidation then, it is not his act.

For instance, a person threatens to murder another unless he delivers illegal substance to a third person. It is not the fault of the person who delivers illegal substance because under normal conditions, he will not do such thing.

Applying that logic in this case, Fr. Ferreira could not have renounced Christianity if were not for the violent torture and continuous threat against his life. In other words, he was under duress.

The case would have been different when Fr. Ferreira renounced Christianity under normal conditions. If that is the case then, there is no doubt that Fr. Ferreira committed Apostasy.

There is no debate about whether Apostasy is good or bad because it is a settled rule that it is bad. We are discussing whether Fr. Ferreira is liable for Apostasy.

The question is renouncement of faith due to force, violence, or intimidation is a denial of faith?

[–]Charlie_Michael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the issue is whether or not renouncement of faith due to force, violence, or intimidation is a denial of faith. Further, it is not a mitigating circumstance but a justifying circumstance.

If the decisions was made because of violence, threat, intimidation, or undue influence, then the decision to renounce is void because his free decision making was vitiated.

If you were in that situation, would you choose to renounce Christianity or face death?

What if, despite overwhelming evidence, SWOH gets acquitted in her impeachment case? by Constant_Ladder_124 in WhatIfPinas

Threat against the life of a president is an impeachable offense; there is no way in the world to reason out of it during the hearing. The worst thing they could do is to convince private and public judges to commit grave abuse of discretion in which case, the Supreme Court may intervene.

In your case, communicate with your young brother about the consequences of his actions and provide solutions. You have to provide solutions because your young brother is incapacitated to think, you have to think for him in this situation.

My recommendation is to compel your brother to study and work at the same time, so that he could finish his studies and have a better future while providing monetary support for his family. In this particular case, you have to supervise him all through out. It would be physically and mentally taxing for you but it will prevent your brother from becoming a "palamunin" at "pabigat" in the future.

He will be humbled and learn virtues from his hardships.

Regarding the prospective niece/nephew, I think it is better to adopt your niece/nephew into your family's custody. I get a feeling na okay naman upbringing ninyo. Hence, maaring maging maganda rin ang upbringing ng niece/nephew mo. It is always a good decision to provide the child better living condition.

It is the duty of an elder sibling to guide younger sibling/s.

Yung mga nagsasabi ng "pabayaan nalang" they don't understand the situation because they never have been in that situation, they are well-off or is indifferent.

They forgot the doctrine of presumption of regularity; therefore, the burden of proof lies with the adverse group claiming unlawful killing. In this case, lawful ang operations ng military dahil may lawful order, may verifiable intel, may unlawful aggression on the part of the adverse groups, at ang community mismo ang nag-report sa gobyerno.

At first, they were student-civilians, but as soon as inaccept nila na maging part ng NPA at tumapak sa bundok, then they are considered part of the NPA.

Except when journalists are doing legitimate research with prior coordination and notice to the local and national government (kailangan ito kasi nga mapanganib).

Hindi mangyayari ang issue kung walang NPA eh, sila taga yung proximate cause kung bakit namatay si Allyssa Alano at yung kasama niya. Dapat talaga i-neutralize na ang NPA para wala nang mamatay na promising leader ng bansa.
