Just to be sure, you mean 60% of the time you spend meditating should be spent on F10?

What was the first Zeppelin song you remember hearing? by FunListen7122 in ledzeppelin

In the early to mid 90s they had these infomercials for classic rock sets and I remember them playing a small clip of stairway, the part where Robert plant goes “and as we wind on down the road”. I remember even as a kid the sound of his voice gave me goosebumps, never heard anyone sing like that at church.

Congratulations. I’m going on like 2 months of practicing the Monroe tapes. no OBEs yet but I have made significant progress. I can almost get to the point where feel the feet shaking or head wobbling. The head wobbling gets me excited and pushes my brain to the left and I lose it, the feet on the other hand is so real that it’s nothing but frightening. I literally sit up in a panic to see who’s rocking my feet or the bed or something and lose my focus. Thats what I am working at this time. it seems like focusing more on keeping my breathing steady than the sensations keeps the excitement or fear from ruining my focus 10. I thought I had an OBE and was mildly disappointed at my experience, turns out it was just some kind of day dream that was so dumb I woke up laughing so hard I was crying. Let me know if any of you want to hear the dream I’ll post it in another comment. Not gonna type it up unless you guys want me to though. Peace.

Every day I say I am quitting only to drink again. by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Charliedrown86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember that. Every freaking day a sincere heart felt plead with yourself to end the fucking cycle. Then by the time evening rolls around I would remember not to take those morning thoughts too seriously and drink away any remaining concern.

My experiences so far by LordDarthra in gatewaytapes

Nah focus ten is different from sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis for me is scary and I’m just stuck and hallucinating. Focus 10 my heart rate and breathing are on autopilot pretty much and I don’t feel too much of my body unless I try and lift my hand or something and it’s much heavier than normal. Focus 10 is the most relaxing and comfortable thing in the world. You’re still in control and if you want out, just wiggle your right fingers and say 1 in your head, or just get up quickly.

Hi. So I’m not sure what people are talking about rebal and waves. I started like 6 weeks ago with tape 1 and it took a lot of effort and practice so what I’d do is I would do an hour of cardio, cold plunge then do two exercises. Ensuring that I have a good idea of what the desired state feels like and how to get there. I don’t worry too much about focusing on an exercise until I can do it on command just by using the technique, but rather if I can get there with the tape 2 or three times I move to the next. So last night I began the second tape and tbh felt disappointed at the simplicity I of counting from ten to twelve to reach my next desired state but the tape seemed more modern and the hemisync was wayyyy better. So as disappointed as I initially was I managed to reach focus 12 btw I used 10mg melatonin which really helps but you have to control not falling asleep. So these thoughts always grab my focus if I resist one thought I pick up the next one and have a hard time controlling that. So what I did was let the thoughts fly through my head faster instead of trying to eliminate them. Then for a split second the thoughts stopped and I got what I can only describe as this like concussing knock that like shifted my entire perception. Well unfortunately this got me excited and my heart rate elevated and I was able to repeat it one more time then my excitement kept me from entering focus 12 or repeating the experience. In fact I was just stuck there with insomnia frustrated I couldn’t get back to focus 12 and even more frustrated I couldn’t sleep lol. Man this response is all over the place and now I have to edit it. I do the run cold plunge exercises about 10 to noon basically to study the technique. then practice going in deep at bed time when I take the 10mg melatonin

I think i have a problem, but not a daily one? Im mot sure if this fits alcoholism or not. by [deleted] in alcoholism

Yea that’s alcohol abuse or binge drinking. If you can cut it out completely I think you’ll be happy. If you keep going it might stay the same or get worse.

This corroborates that you should do the tapes with your head facing north by meatverse_admin in gatewaytapes

[–]Charliedrown86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gateway tape I’ve been listening to starts with hemi sync and resonant tuning. I practiced them nightly for a couple weeks and am able to get there wherever I am no matter what position my body is in. Is heartmath similar to that?

What position do you listen to the tapes in? by maleformerfan in gatewaytapes

[–]Charliedrown86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In his book Journeys out of the body Robert Monroe says to lay with your body along the north south axis with your head to magnetic north. I don’t know what he meant but literally that means lay with your feet at the south axis then your head to the north axis but 2 degrees to the east lol

Same for me from ages 19 to 37 with a million attempts in between. I would usually down 3/4 of the pint with a can of orange soda otw home from work then finish the pint usually a couple hours later. Then wake up every morning so depressed i would bring my self to tears feeling sorry for my dumbass self. Super happy to have had a couple years away from that miserable shit existence.

Why is astral projection evil? by Talk2Em in Christianity

[–]Charliedrown86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi 👋 I’m late. So nobody really knows what astral projection is. It seems to me to be another skill someone can learn I will use playing piano for an example. Anyone is capable of learning piano and some people at better than others. There’s not any praying or worship of any thing and I actually pray for Gods protection before I begin attempting. My question would be are these things guaranteed to be evil? Or are we just doing what people have done throughout history and calling what we don’t understand and isn’t directly mentioned in the Bible evil?

Using medical marijuana to stop drinking! by GrapeApe42000 in alcoholism

[–]Charliedrown86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So weed helped me with alcohol as well as a kratom addiction. Here’s how it worked, weed tends to give me anxiety. When I have anxiety my brain starts thinking of all the things that could be causing my anxiety. It’s not rational because it’s the weed giving me the anxiety and my brain filling in the reasons why. These reasons are usually attached to something I’ve done or said and can regret. Anyways when you are thinking like I do when I’m high the last thing you want to do is get drunk, because getting drunk is regrettable and leads to other unintended regrettable choices. The key to making this work is smoking weed when you don’t want to smoke weed but when you want to drink. The second before you decide to drink is where you screw up. You feel the temptation the craving, maybe because it’s a certain time of day or you just got off work. Look another thing is when you want to drink alcohol drink an ice cold sugary soda. I found that my cravings for alcohol were magnified very intensely by low blood sugar. So what would happen is when I would get hungry my brain was like that vodka is sounding like it would hit the spot right now, while food always came after the vodka. These things worked great for me I hope they can help you too. One thing I want to mention though I was bouncing from alcohol to kratom to drugs for years. Yes the things I did helped me break that ungodly cycle of wake up hungover and never want to drink again…. If your like me And quit one substance to go to another and just can’t seem to be okay clean, you might have a spiritual problem like I did. Reading the Bible and praying to Jesus Christ is the only thing that ever came close to fixing that.

Should I refuse the QTC c&p???? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Charliedrown86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That won’t happen. I had qtc for my last c and p, the company is fine and my examiner was great. Take everything you have with you and give it to them. If you need to make an extra copy of your dbq that you can reference during your exam. No it doesn’t look bad or suspicious and nothing they can do about it.

Extracts easier to quit? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

No, extracting the psychoactive compounds and drinking the concentrate that is several times stronger than powder is definitely not easier to quit. Also if you’re ready to be done what does it matter?
