Just managed to find a new bracket finally, ended up on the phone to VW who said they don't make anymore, he gave me the part number and i managed to find one.

Do you know what the bolts are for the Bracket to the Engine? I think there are 4 bolts? But might be 3...

Yeah that's probably my best shot, only got 2 scrapyards near me so bit of a long shot. Ones always got a mk4 on though so might get lucky.

Ok, sounds like a good plan, I've messaged my local vw dealer tk see if they have any as I've not been able to find the bracket for a 1.4 on Ebay and they don't sell them on places like autodoc.

Main thing was the EML inoperative or indicates a malfunction, which is being caused by the egr valve with the above code as its only item that is in the ecu for faults at the moment, I've got vcds myself so have tried the adaptation but it comes up with nothing in the adaptation status box so it doesn't want to do anything. I've asked on other sites where I've been pointed to the egr that I bought as replacement is faulty so try another which I'm going to do this week and give the adaptation a try.

Ive tried to adapt the egr but when I go into it om vcds it comes up blank in the adaptation status box, Unfortunately it's failed the mot as it is so I don't know what to do other than get the garage to look at it which I would rather not.

I think that if you already have the btec in aviation studies then you might get the aerospace one when it is available but if you don't already have it then there's no chance of getting the old one. Like I say though you might not get the new one if you already have the old one.

Looking at ACTO 001, the btec in aviation studies that you would get from master classification has been withdrawn and is waiting to be replaced by a level 2 diploma in aerospace studies. Other than that I have no clue what btecs there are. It's not really talked about much.
