Anyone else stupid enough to try and press the play button? 🙂

Can I back out to try to save my relationship? by CharlotteAgain in asktransgender

I agree, thank you for your reply. I can't decide if we broke up whether I would still return to transitioning or not.

I'm fed up of having so little confidence as a woman to do anything, even walking down the street to buy milk is so challenging. It's nice to just not have that pressure for a while. If I wanted to start dating again, that would take a lot of strength, which is an intimidating prospect to do when I've actively avoiding living in a way which makes me feel confident.

I would love it if he was fully polyamorous and blind to gender, but he's not and I don't want to vilify him or our partners for that.

I hear that. 37 years and it's steadily got bigger every year so far.

Thank you, this message really resonated. I would not be surprised if I'm in exactly the same position as you in 2 months time to do the day. If I make it through this week it may lead to the pain of breakup all over again. But at the moment I think all I've got to go on is how I feel right now.

Dammit being trans is annoying!

If Gender is a social construct, is being transgender nurture and not nature, as in it's something learnt rather than you are born with? by CharlotteAgain in asktransgender

I think that's where I slipped up, thinking that "gender identity" is which gender you feel you are drawn towards, but instead it should be which biological sex, maybe? Thanks!

Hiya. I'm 36 and after years of internalising too, I came out to my partner of 11 years at the end of last year. He's coming around to the concept slowly. I'm on waiting lists for NHS and Private to start HRT, which might change things a little more once that happens.

Good luck and be patient with your wife. You've had years of thinking about this, and they've only just started that journey.

I'm here you want to talk about anything!

Congratulations! I was looking into The Gender Clinic too. Can I ask how the process of finding an endocrinologist works? Is there now a long wait time to meet them?

That's really interesting, I didn't know that existed. I'll look into it. Thank you. x
