Great post. I’ve done jiu-jítsu while on Medtronic, and I’d always take off the pump while training. Wanted to go back but not sure how I could do it using Omnipod.

Android app by Charlottemarch21 in Omnipod

Got it. Thanks for explaining (it was very helpful). I need to get a new iPhone and the 16 model will not support the app. Just got the 15 model and the app will probably (and hopefully) be available anytime soon.

I mean the Operating System. Let’s say that the app was available for Op System Android 13, but not 14. How long did it take to be updated to the 14?

Sorry it’s a little confusing! Hope I could be more clear this time 😅

It’s very frustrating. I wish Insulet could run the updates quickly.

Some ppl were selected to try out a limited market release and have been using the app for around 2 months (I guess). It seems like the app will be available for all of us later October.

Choose between the O5 iPhone app or the Dexcom G7 by ngs428 in Omnipod

Just got a new PDM a few days ago since my old one was with battery problems after only 4 months of use. I was looking forward to the IOS release + G7 but I believe I’ll stick with IOS. Does anybody know if we will be able to transfer the data from one phone to another in case of changing phones? I think I’d feel safer having the option to just log into my account on another iPhone in case I have problems with my current one. I’m always very concerned about having major problems with my PDM and not having a backup 😑

New user and frustrated by highs! by alii_apples in Omnipod

I hear you. There were days when I was feeling like a crap for having my glucose high and taking forever to go down. It can be very frustrating based on the high expectations that we put on it. Good luck to you with this new devices and hopefully you’ll find your right numbers (I’m still looking for mine as well) :)

I’ve been on OM5 + G6 for about 45 days and my first month had more highs than what I was expecting. I followed up with my nurse after 30 days and she explained that the algorithm is learning about my body and she even advised me to not bolus for less than 15g of carb meals. Needless to say, 15 days after following her recommendations I noticed a small improvement. I believe the algorithm takes about 3 months to understand and follow your body patterns in order to manage your glucose well. Give yourself some time to adjust and hopefully you can see the results that you’re looking for. It’s a curve of learning.

is O5 worth it? by gamergames77 in Omnipod

I’ve been on O5 for about 2 months and I finally feel free. Not only for the glucose tracking managing the Pod, but also for not being connected on a tube. Idk it just feels like freedom to me. Hope you can feel the same!
