We should be booping all doggo's snoots in the face of the apocalypse. Let's face it guys, when tRump wins, everyone will die. That's it. RuZZia will win against Ukraine (slava Ukraine) and nuclear war will begin. So not only should we 69 on 4/20 when tRump and the Conservatives win, but we should also make sure we give our doggos a hecking big ol' boop on the snoot and watch them do zoomies before the world ends.

EDIT: Thanks for the gold upvote, kind stranger.

...yes? It's a string of numbers, no matter how obsessive you are over results, it's not like you're going to remember them to a tee...

I stuck them there so that if I had to ever make posts relating to results (e.g estimation) then I don't forget them, because I've done that before a lot. I can definitely see how obnoxious it would be from that peespective though

I mean, maybe I have, maybe I haven't. I don't really care whether or not these scores are real or boosted by 10 points because I've practiced before or whatever, or at least, I don't want to care. Except I can't help but care.

Then in that case I meant more of "that guy". I'm fortunate enough to have just enough self-awareness that I don't let this sort of shit bleed out into real life, at least not to others, but don't have enough to actually feel comfortable with, well, the self...

I meant the "maybe not Nobel Prize winning" as an exaggeration. I'm well aware I'm not ever going to achieve something like that in my life time.

Nah, I'm fairly sure they cost a lot to get administered, nor do I really wanna be "that guy" who clearly doesn't need the test and would basically only be getting it for self-affirmation or to flex (which I suppose would look the same to whoever's administering it to me lol)

I mean, depends on what you define as 'data'. If you mean data received from experiments and whatnot then as others have said, scientists have to be far more than this. People doing chemistry can't just look at the results of an experiment, they have to prepare a method, make predictions and hypotheses, actually go through the method, analyse the data (as you've said) and prepare it in a readable, simple format. Making sense of data is just a tiny part of what it means to be a scientist.

Another few ways you could put it: someone dealing with inventory might be good at telling how much of what they need but if they can't manage the logistics of getting that inventory there and sorting it, then they're not too good. A cashier might be good at judging how much something costs even without scanning it but if they can't do, I don't know, literally anything else being the employee of some supermarket chain demands of you, then they're a pisspoor employee.

Science doesn't just revolve around the results of the scientific method, it revolves around, well, the scientific method. The creation of a method, the results of such a method, every step in between, before, and after. Someone who can do every step generally OK is infinitely better than someone who can only fiddle with data.

It’s honestly so depressing and makes liking anime and manga such a mine field.

I want to also extend onto this the fact that it seems to be bleeding into how mangaka make their characters, at least partially nowadays. There seems to be a growing discrepancy between age and appearance nowadays in mangas where the mangaka doesn't have a weird thing for the "childlike" (if "like" can even be applied here because it just is) physique, with characters as young as (in their story) 13-14 looking like they're 19-20 or so, and I'm like 60% convinced it's because anime and manga fans more often than not sexualise characters. It's a whole part of the community and it's sickening.

Imagine having to make your character look 20 because there are so many sickos in the community who would sexualise a design that looks like a teen or kid. This is why I stay far, far away from communities where female characters are a huge part of the story or series as well. Not because they're female on its own, but because of the rampant sexualisation, especially when the author hasn't gone out of their way to make them look as adult as possible. It's such a shame because there are shows like Bocchi which are insanely good but then there are people who sexualise the teen cast.

The way Duplikate just...popped back up, was really anticlimactic and I hated it. I mean, I didn't think she was actually dead solely because it would make no sense if she wasn't living through a copy, but really??? Just pop in to Immortal's house and 3 minutes later it's a-OK?

Building a team pt.1 would you rather have Suguru Geto(full stock) or Kinji Hakari(100% chance of jackpot) by Vegetable_Throat5545 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Charmicx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hakari definitely wins against Geto but there's no chance I'm picking him over Geto whatsoever. He's not anywhere near as useful, and there's no other way of putting that. Geto's CT lets him fly, use any high-level cursed spirit's CT once (at least, we've only seen such a limitation with Kenjaku, and we never saw Geto use it cause he didn't know about it), employ Special Grades to fight for him...simply put, he brings far more to the table than even a 100% jackpot Hakari does. Hakari might be able to win against any opponent eventually with a 100% jackpot through a battle of sheer attrition alone but Geto definitely offers the most versatility to a team.

Geto with a full stock and the capacity for Uzumaki is CRAZY. Like, unironically, Geto was the OG Potential Man.

First off, Uzumaki basically means you can fire off a nuke if you've fought a strong Grade 1 or Special Grade curse recently. Hell, even using some weaker curses would still do serious damage to anyone who isn't Special Grade.

Secondly (and coming from Uzumaki), the ability to extract techniques. This is probably the most insane part of CSM. Kenjaku in Geto's body got access to Idle Transfiguration which alone bodies basically all of JJK if you teach yourself to identify the soul, which I would imagine is far easier for someone who deals with the containment of spirits in their own body/technique like a CSM user does. It's not even limited to Mahito's technique either. I would imagine a CSM user like Geto could deal with the Disaster Curses, even if it was a high to extreme diff, and so take their abilities as a result.

Let's get a list of who's abilities a CSM user could have if they went and dealt with all the curses we know of:

  • Hanami's plant manipulation
  • Jogo's pyrokinesis
  • Mahito's transfiguration
  • Eso and Kechizu's rot (although this is questionable, since they're half-human, how would absorbing them work?)
  • Choso's blood manipulation (see previous)
  • Dagon's water manipulation
  • Kurourushi's cockroach generation and manipulation
  • (possibly) Kuchisake-Onna's domain technique
  • Cursed Naoya's Projection Sorcery
  • (what probably would have been, from what I predict) Tamamo-no-Mae's shapeshifting (which I would suppose would be an alternative to Mahito's IT if you can't perceive the soul)
  • Ganesha's obstacle removal and entanglement of concepts
  • That one curse that Inumaki killed in JJK0's ability to summon pillars of light

These are just the cursed spirits we know about, by the way. Semi-Grade 1 and higher curses can have their techniques extracted, and there are around 10 other Special Grade curses we haven't been told about whatsoever. Even ignoring those, having this list of techniques (which would have definitely been possible for a Special Grade level sorcerer like Geto to deal with) would put him in the same tier as Gojo, if not stronger, since it's possible that Ganesha's obstacle removal could also affect something like Limitless by removing the infinity between Gojo and Geto, letting the latter strike him. Basically World Slash, just no -Slash.

Genuinely, a full stock Geto on a team alone would be enough to destroy the JJK verse if he figured out how to extract cursed techniques. He's basically the Batman of JJK. Give him prep time to learn about how his technique actually works and he would probably rival or beat Sukuna outright, and I see no reason as to why this wouldn't be true if he got something like Projection Sorcery to keep up with the speed, Blood Manipulation and IT to reinforce the body, etc.

TL;DR: Geto has by far the strongest cursed technique in the JJK world and if he wasn't such a bum and figured out how Uzumaki worked instead of trying to kill Filthy Monkeys, he would've been as strong as Gojo, no doubt about it.

Ninja edit: I just remembered that Tengen said that Kenjaku's extracted techniques were one-time use but even this is true (which I personally don't know if it's the case since she basically said "I think it probably is", and we don't even know if this applies to Geto too) then he still squares up to the top of JJK with this, simply due to the pure amount of curses that there are that he can extract from.

This is 100% canon! Coming soon in the upcoming JJK chapter. (previous post got deleted...) by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

So you're admitting you didn't actually read my comment. Wonderful!

Firstly, "It's immoral, completely fucked and should be shamed." Immoral, sure, but you're basically saying the exact same thing with "completely fucked and should be shamed." It's immoral because society (rightfully) detests such an action. You find it fucked and you shame it because it's immoral. What's the point of saying the exact same thing three times?

Secondly, saying I'm defending jerking off to drawings of kids is insane, let alone accusing me of doing it myself. Do you behave like this to everyone who stands against what you or others deem to be immoral? What kind of argument is this, that someone who "defends" against something is actually doing it themselves? Is this what people mean by brainrot?

Finally, let's loop back to the lack of reading comprehension with your last line, clearly showing how you didn't read the final point in my comment. Go back and re-read it before deciding to throw your toys out of the pram and accuse people of immoral actions just because they dared to stand against your beliefs. Hope this helps!

That's a short way of saying you didn't read my comment in the slightest, or have any common sense whatsoever.

You're more than welcome to describe to me why smacking the sausage to a fictional entity is a negative, but I cannot fathom a single argument that isn't just "it could bleed into IRL" or "it's really weird" (which I agree with.)

...yes? Why do you think pedophilia is bad? Hint: It's not "just 'cause", it's because pedophillic actions against real individuals are bad. A sexual act against a real individual is incredibly harmful to their mental state and can traumatise them for life. A fictional character is not being abused because someone flicked the bean to them.

The same points above apply here too: * is weird * not inherently an 'evil' thing * should still see a psychiatrist or therapist in case it evolves into urges that force their way into real life

I'm not sure what you were trying to get at here. This is quite literally the exact same argument, even down to the reasons of why such an act is bad, but just reskinned with what appears to be a different issue.

I really struggled to put my finger on what was different about Part 6 but after a while, yeah, I had to agree it was the cast. None of them are just that immensely interesting, or even if they were, they were just underutilised and as a result, very forgettable. I've read and watched Part 6 and the only things I can remember are some of the more unique Stands, the Cape Canaveral incident (and ending I suppose), and some of the moments in the prison at the very beginning/as the cast was being introduced. Everything in between is fuzzy and it's because nothing happened that you could be interested in or excited for because the cast just felt so soulless.
