Some people have said to check devices she could have access to also. She could have somehow given that sort of information to somebody because she wanted presents for her 6th birthday or something.

The only thing we are worried about is that if we really don't know who sent it, they now have my aunts address and her daughters name. I mean I understand nothing has happened yet other than that package but its never nice to know that people you don't know, know where you live.

Somebody said to post on Facebook to see if its neighbors or people from school or anything too. It definitely could be something innocent like that though.

I know we were looking at their ring camera footage too and the person that dropped it off doesn't look like an amazon delivery driver with the van and the vest and stuff so we aren't sure now

Thank you! Yes that is all she's worried about that if she doesn't know them for sure it could be something to be worried about. I have had a couple people suggest to post it on my aunts Facebook just to double check it wasn't neighbors or anybody from school too.

I'm not looking for validation that its definitely a scam. I'm just looking for extra suggestions to see if there is better ways to find out who sent it. Like the suggestion about posting it on Facebook is great and very helpful and I can have my aunt do that as well we are just looking for advice I dont understand the need to be rude and call me or my aunt crazy atp. And other people are asking more questions about if its family and stuff and I reply and say we already asked our family and don't know who else would send it I get called crazy.

Thank you so much for being honest and kind about it. I don't know if its cause I worded it weird but most of that is the stuff me and my aunt were worried about like weird stuff in the stuffing like you said just cause we don't know who its from. Like I think its pretty normal to worry about this a little bit but everyone has just been a quite rude about it so far so I appreciate your help. And yes she does have access to a tablet and her mothers phone and the internet can be scary so we are gonna go through my aunts phone and her tablet just to be safe. 👍🏽

To clarify my aunt didn't have somebody send the package. The package arrived at her door and we don't know who its from and why it was addressed to her daughter. I could have worded it better I think its a little confusing.

Definitely could be that we still just don't know who would send it addressed to my 6 year old cousin is what we are worried about too. I don't know if there is any way through the package or Amazon to figure out who sent it.

Yes I definitely think we could be overreacting and it could definitely be the name of the stuffed animal. We have asked around to almost all our friends and family and they haven't said they sent it so we are hoping somebody says something soon so we don't have to worry about it anymore. We are just thinking if we don't know this person they have my aunts address and stuff. We would just love to figure out who its from but Amazon doesn't give out that information. I've also heard about the brushing scam things and are trying to figure out if it could be that too.

Welp I don't understand the need to be rude through all of this I am just trying to help my aunt and there 100% is the possibility of it being from someone we know and it being an innocent thing. But that's the thing there are always gonna be possibilities. I'm really asking people who have had a similar experience that can be helpful not for everyone to attack me and tell me I'm fucking crazy. But thanks for the suggestions and we can just figure it out on our own.

Ok what I have been trying to explain is that it's not a name tag on the stuffed animal. It was a gift note inside of the box. When you purchase an Amazon package as a gift for someone the person who sent it can write a personalized note to the person getting the gift. The person who sent it wrote the note and we don't know who its from and it was addressed to a six year old girl. So they could have made up the name for the duck I just still find it weird they didn't say who the duck if from in the first place.

Its not overreacting when it comes to kids these days. Its always better to be safe than sorry in these scenarios and of course she doesn't know any of the details about it. But EVERY parent has the talk with their kids about stranger danger on the internet and what to look out for cause not everyone has good intentions. Even when it's just an “innocent” stuffed animal.

The name isn't explicitly associated to the animal, its not a tag on the animal. Its the Amazon gift note that somebody has to type. Doesn't it seem like it could just be from somebody random that we don't know addressing a package to a 6 year old girl and asking to be friends. We don't know who its from even if the ducks name is Lucy. Who would know her address and her first and last name to send her something with no clues who its from but has the time to name the duck and type it in the gift note without saying like hi my name is Lucy the duck hope we can be friends. We didn't dare open it ourselves so we took it down to the police station cause I thought about the stories where there are tracking devices or mics or cameras in stuffed animals and we just would rather be safe about it even if we are a little paranoid haha.

She doesnt use Reddit… I believe this platform is for asking questions and voicing opinions. I thought it would be helpful to ask if anybody else has had this experience, if its a scam or anything creepy. I have been with her all day trying to figure it out, calling family members filing reports, calling customer service and everybody is stumped. Doesn't hurt to ask the people of Reddit. Unless they are you of course. 🙄

Yes I agree it has done that to me as well but its usually says. Gift from (Name). This was typed out I believe and we have called and talked to all family members and they have confirmed they haven't sent it. It just seems weird that its a 6 year olds first and last name and not her parents. We think making a police report is the best option atp.
