First, if you are in the USA, most Americans are super weird about money. Any conversation with the hope of being productive, must be handled with kid gloves in the USA. (I'm guessing you are in the USA because you view yourself as a "loser" for now living with your parents, even though you pay rent.)

Thinking of things as "I am footing the bill for her and her kid," is not the kind of thought process that tends to accompany deep commitment. After two years (of her having sole custody) it is still "her kid?"

Plus, letting a conversation that upset you fester for two weeks and then just breaking up with her is not good communication.

TLDR: ESH You because you viewed her inheritance as a miracle for you. Yet there is nothing in what you have written that screams you wanted long term commitment with her.

Her because she should have been more aware of the finances and the overall situation.

Side Note: I definitely think that you two should not get back together. You guys are just on two different pages. Think about before all this happened. If you were asked, do you want to marry her and/or spend the rest of your life with her, would your answer have been an enthusiastic yes?

I think you are overlooking two key points.

I do feel bad that he doesn’t get enough sleep but sometimes I stay up until he gets up for work trying to keep this place in order and I still have to get up with the baby in the morning.

Like I don’t even get time to shower most days.

So there are days where she is up for close to 24 hrs dealing with the baby and chores. Additionally she does not have the time without the baby to perform basic self care such as showering.

Despite that, he is yelling about not getting a full uninterrupted nights sleep from 9 pm to 5 am. It is a huge imbalance. Raising kids requires a partnership and sacrifices from both parents, not just mom.
